ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Define and deliver strategically coordinated internal and external communications and public affairs activities that advance and harness Insight, Innovation & Integrity to support the business objectives of Janssen in Asia Pacific.
- This role includes ongoing, proactive and thoughtful assessment of the Region’s communication and public affairs needs and creative application of industry / therapeutic area knowledge and trends, and functional area expertise to develop meaningful communication strategies.
- This individual is responsible for prioritizing resources and ensuring all external and internal communication is fully aligned with the established regional strategic positioning for the Business and corporate philosophy.

Public Affairs & Strategic Business Counsel (60%)
Public Affairs – Work collaboratively with internal partners to shape public policy in a way that supports the commercial interests of Janssen and delivers enhanced access to medicines for patients.
Strategic Business Counsel -Act as strategic business partner and provide ongoing senior-level communication advice and counsel to the Asia Pacific Leadership Team
External Communication (30%)
Responsible for leading, developing and executing communication programs to advance the Asia Pacific region’s Business objectives, enhance the Company's reputation and help drive sustainable product growth through effective and strategic product and unbranded communication, media relations and issues management.

•Disease Stronghold Leadership
•Public Affairs Strategy & Influence
Internal Communication (10%)
Responsible for leading, internal employee communications team in their design & delivery of programs to engage employees, and heighten their level of business understanding and commitment to meeting the AP region’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications
RELATED EXPERIENCE :
Proven performer with minimum 10 years of experience managing health care communication and / or public affairs programs is preferred. Experience in public relations / public affairs agency, an NGO, government agency or related corporate experience is also desirable
Chinese or Japanese national with background and experience in public health policy arena within one or more of the major commercial markets; Preferably China and/or Japan
