Acclarent, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Manager, New Platforms Commercial Marketing, located in Menlo Park, CA.

Acclarent, Inc. is a medical device company in Menlo Park, CA that was established in June of 2004. The company is dedicated to the development of innovative devices providing new technologies to further meet the needs of ENT patients.

Acclarent's initial focus is on achieving the goals of sinus surgery with novel, endoscopic, catheter-based tools - Balloon Sinuplasty™ devices. Through the Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology and our Relieva® product portfolio we offer ENT patients another option to conventional endoscopic surgical technologies. FDA clearances for these devices were completed in 2005 and the products were commercially launched in the US that same year.

Through our core technologies and commitment to innovation, Acclarent will continue to advance novel devices in all areas of ENT.

The Sr. Manager, New Platforms Commercial Marketing is a new position responsible for the launch and management of an exciting new portfolio for Acclarent. This portfolio consists of novel product and technology platforms adjacent to the core business of Balloon Sinuplasty to serve the needs of the ENT community. Candidate must be experienced in strategic planning and flawlessly execute launches of novel technologies into the medical device industry, and be responsible for the strategic and business results of these launches.

Duties of the Senior Manager, New Platforms Commercial Marketing include:

Lead the creation of local launch plans in select countries including positioning, messaging, marketing material, communication plan, PR, metrics, customer and sales training, sales call points, financial andcompetitive intelligence.

Coordinate with upstream Strategic Marketing Team, Engineering, Operations, etc. to ensure product design, capabilities, claims, product positioning, pricing and forecasting will meet commercialization goals.

Create “launches in a box” for efficient rollout to selected launch countries around the world.

Work with global key opinion leaders (KOLs) to gain feedback on product, positioning, commercialization plans and post-launch execution and improvements.

Drive post-launch marketing communications calendar of promotions, additional messaging and materials, etc. to drive product utilization, adoption and loyalty.

Assist with other commercial marketing needs as requested.

Qualifications


Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred.

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive marketing/sales experience in driving new product launches and marketing programs.

Experience in developing and executing marketing plans with related tangible business results is required.

Experience in medical device marketing is required; Experience in surgical devices is preferred.

Experience with global launches highly preferred.

Knowledge of pricing new products, reimbursement, product development and marketing programs.

Knowledge of financial/ROI analysis for new products, including solid financial modeling and analytics.

Strong written, PowerPoint presentation and oral presentation skills are required.

Successful candidate should have the entrepreneur’s mindset, outstanding leadership presence, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” and “get-it-done” attitude that contributes to a high growth environment.

Must be willing to work with cadaveric specimens.

Must be able to travel up to 30% at times with overnight travel. Job responsibilities may require international travel.
