Janssen Inc., based in Toronto, Ontario, is currently recruiting for a 16 month Supply Chain Planning Associate Intern. Start date is May 5, 2014.

Janssen Inc. products are sourced from Johnson & Johnson and 3rd party manufacturers around the world including Europe, the United States and Puerto Rico. The Supply Chain Planning Associate will provide analytical support in forecasting customer demand, plan inventory strategies to improve supply chain performance and, measure and communicate key performance indicators including customer order fill rate, days of supply, and forecast accuracy.

Responsibilities:
Creating Departmental reports for forecasting, capacity requirements, and Key Performance Indicators.

Analysis related to capacity planning, market trends and other issues affecting inventory planning.

Provide administrative support to Product Packaging Manager.

Analyzing SAP generated data to facilitate planning and inventory control for assigned products.

Participating in continuous improvement projects within Supply Chain Planning:

Process mapping and measurement and process redesign and automation.

Qualifications


Student in good standing, working towards completion of an undergraduate degree (Industrial Engineering students strongly preferred).

Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities are required.

Knowledge of Demand Planning (Forecasting) and Inventory Planning concepts and techniques are required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP software are required.

A sense of urgency to respond to issues, initiate improvements and manage multiple priorities in a timely, accurate and efficient manner is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently and in teams is required.

Knowledge of SAP and pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
