The Senior Manager Supplier Governance will be responsible for the execution and leadership of the Supplier Governance Program for all strategic suppliers & service providers across the Global Facilities portfolio within the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region. Leads the governance process & protocols of key strategic suppliers including our supplier(s) of facility services to include maintenance, utilities, engineering, project management, and laboratory services.
Principal relationships include: Procurement, Legal / Risk, Finance, Supplier Governance Director, and Facility Site Leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities also include:
- Performance management, financial management and controls, and management of contractual obligations.
- Drives supplier-enabled innovation program and initiatives across all sectors in close partnership with Capital, Construction, and Facilities Services Procurement. As part of the governance role, this individual will assist in developing common KPI and contract measurement and management tools and drive implementation across sector FM organization within the APAC Region.
- Manages the conversion of contract elements to operational processes (service level agreements reviews, key performance indicators, governance) and development of the supplier relationship processes, documentation, performance targets and standards.
- Manages the risk and exposure for Johnson & Johnson on multiple national agreements in partnership with J&J affiliates, Legal, Procurement, and Risk Management.
- Ensures contractual obligations are being met - escalation, protocols, boundary conditions, scope expansion/contraction.
- Establishes governance processes and structures for all major facilities management providers in the APAC Region in partnership with J&J Affiliates and Procurement.
- Analyzes and reports service provider performance though site-level and portfolio-wide key performance indicators and service level agreements.
- Manages communications and collaborates with J&J and service provider representatives to monitor performance and drive improvements.
- Provides education and training to J&J staff and others on contract deliverables and obligations.
- Manages changes to scope and contracts as needed and follow-through to ensure contractual changes are implemented operationally and with contractual documentation updates.
- Determines levels of management fee at risk and incentive compensation that outsource service provider will earn for each contract year.
- Develops process that drives continuous improvement and robust communications.
- Develops common metrics in cooperation with our internal customer input for service provider activities with focus on status and targets for improvements.
- Work in close partnership with procurement to manage relationships and contracts with suppliers and support procurement-led initiatives impacting the Facilities Organization.
- Assist Global Facilities Organization and service providers identify new opportunities to scale and harmonize services across the enterprise.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
- 8+ years of professional experience is required. At least 5 years of experience in managing complex agreements within maintenance, utilities, project delivery, and/or site services is required.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Experience with contractual agreement and procurement is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral are required.
- Contract and project management skills are required.
- Ability to focus strategically while maintaining a tactical/operational focus is preferred.
- Broad understanding of facilities management and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA, GMP and ISO requirements within the facilities environment is preferred.
- Ability to influence without authority internally and externally is required.
- Ability to effectively partner and deliver results in a matrix environment is required.
- Ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations is preferred.
- Ability to lead diverse teams through change and organizational transformation is required.
- Up to 25% regional/international travel is required. The ability to travel between locations with the Asia Pacific Region as needed is required.
