Johnson & Johnson Sales & Logistics Company is presently recruiting for a Product Manager, Mobile. This role will be based in NYC and require 50% travel within NY/NJ metro region as well as internationally.

This Product Manager, Mobile will be responsible for guiding the product definition and organizational integration of mobile capabilities for the organization across regions. In this role, you’ll be the primary subject matter expert on mobile best practices across usability, application development, app store submissions and mobile industry innovation and standards. You will be the driver of mobile requirements across the portfolio of digital products, including the central Drupal based digital platform, OPEN Solutions and the front-end page layout offering, GWS. Initially, this role will drive mobile requirements by supporting the GWS and OPEN Solutions product development team via pilots and evaluating current mobile practices for potential enhancements. Close collaboration is a must with cross-functional internal and external teams, including the Digital Product Engineering Team, marketing, analytics, sales, compliance, IT, partner agencies and 3rd party technology stakeholders. This role will also lead and partner with subject matter experts on development and execution of best practices, governance and operational processes and technology roadmap for these products.

The ideal candidate has a strong digital background and demonstrated ability to deliver scalable business solutions. The candidate excels in defining and writing user stories and acceptance criteria and is adept at managing backlog priorities against a product roadmap. Strong knowledge of digital production and web industry standards across a variety of technology and subject matters, especially user experience, is a must.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead mobile requirement definition by working with cross functional teams, including DCoE product, marketing and analytics teams, as well as brand marketing teams and 3rd party partners across regions to understand and translate business and customer needs into product requirements; Establish measurable goals for each product and feature in order to measure progress towards business goals and prioritize features for launch and optimization; Analyze needs and contribute requirements to the GWS UX templates for tablet and mobile breakpoints; Lead pilot execution of GWS internationally, ensuring local requirements are brought back to the GWS and OPEN product development teams to evaluate contribution back to the platform; Serve as the internal subject matter expert for all mobile technologies and best practices, including Mobile Web, native SmartPhone applications and development and communication capabilities (i.e., SMS, NFC); Lead discovery and evaluation of systems and services with input of cross-functional needs to collectively identify a holistic solution for management of product data; Define requirements in a behavior driven development (BDD) format and prioritize within a backlog; Liaise daily with 3rd party service providers to continually define, shape and approve integration and development of their software/services into the organization; Escalate critical issues in a timely manner and work with the core team to present solutions and recommendations to resolve while maintaining product vision and adhering to project boundaries; Communicate on a daily basis with product management and product engineering partners on product direction, strategy and priority of requirements; Ensure all work follows best practices for performance and usability in digital, based on experience, research and collaboration with UX/UI experts; Provide input and support in development of training materials and/or documentation by authoring and/or reviewing and providing feedback; Lead onboarding of internal and external partners onto these new products across regions.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. 5 years of experience in digital development space preferably at a media or CPG company. Minimum 2 years experience in mobile, with a deep understanding of mobile user experience design. Experience with a variety of web and client-side mobile platforms, including BlackBerry, Android, iPhone, Java ME, Symbian, BREW, Windows Mobile, and/or the native operating systems of such platforms a plus. Experience in developing, releasing and managing updates of mobile applications to stores for download. Proven ability to create clear, detailed, concise documentation and recommendations -- including product requirements/user stories, acceptance criteria, best practices documentation, roadmaps, production schedules. Proactivity in identifying competing requirements and navigating towards an accepted solution across a large number of cross functional stakeholders. Strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of digital channels (search, mobile, social, media, web, email, etc.). Strong ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with brand marketing team, IT organization, legal & compliance groups, suppliers and agencies. A passion for keeping up with industry and technology trends. Ability to communicate and lead effectively. Proficient with tools such as MS Office and JIRA, familiarity with Drupal technology a plus. Excellent organizational, diplomatic and problem-solving skills. Able to communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a simple, organized business language to clients and management. Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules. Understanding of project management methodologies, including both agile and waterfall approaches. Results-oriented, high energy style and drive to succeed. Up to 50% domestic and international travel is required.
