The Manager, Advanced Analytics, is responsible for developing and utilizing appropriate methodologies and solutions to understand the patient and prescriber dynamics for the Infectious Disease franchise (currently in the areas of HIV & Hepatitis C). They will be responsible for projects specific to products and pipeline treatments for HIV and for the treatment of Hepatitis C. Partnering closely with other colleagues on the Infectious Disease Business Analytics team, they will lead efforts related to ROI, predictive analytics, longitudinal patient analysis, digital analytics and segmentation for the brands. The Manager is also responsible for conducting in-depth analysis to uncover opportunities. They will provide analytics to influence brand and local level decision making regarding strategic focus, marketing mix, and BME spend. In addition, they will provide SAS programming support to produce primary research recruiting sample, enhance primary research insights, evaluate new data sources, and support data source evaluation & validation.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required. Experience within pharmaceutical, device, or other regulated industry business experience in an advanced analytics role is preferred. This individual must be able to independently partner with adjacent Business Analytics functions (market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, & integrated analytics), brand teams, sales leadership and sales operations to define analysis objectives and integrate insights & recommendations.
Exceptional knowledge and experience in predictive modeling and ROI assessment is required. Must have the ability to identify, understand, and clarify business issues to determine analytic objectives. Must be proactive and provide unsolicited, self-generated, data analytics. Must have the ability to objectively leverage analytics insights to develop actionable recommendations and solutions to business issues. This includes communicating recommendations concisely and persuasively to influence stakeholders and impact business decisions. The ability to tell a compelling business story is required (vs. simply deliver data sets). Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is required. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Proficiency in SAS programming is required. This position requires limited (less than 5%) domestic travel.
