The Account Manager, Internal Medicine Specialty Sales Force, will focus on our highest priority accounts, while leading, motivating and retaining a talented and dedicated team of Account Specialists. The Account Manager will be responsible for compliantly achieving sales goals and other business objectives within the customer base of assigned accounts and throughout the corresponding market place. They will serve as the Internal Medicine central point of contact at the site level for high priority accounts, working collaboratively with the Strategic Customer Group at the corporate level with these high priority accounts. Customers will include, but are not limited to, key stakeholders, influencers and decision makers within IDNs, Hospital Systems, and ACOs. The Account Manager will develop, execute and adapt strategic account plans based on market and customer insight, coordinating and leading all efforts at the site level of affiliated hospitals and healthcare providers. They will execute brand marketing strategies and tactics at the local level, execute managed care pull-through and push-through, and appropriately leverage company resources to enhance business results. They will apply a large account management approach, consultative selling skills, and clinical expertise to enhance our business and build support for our portfolio of products. The Account Manager will collaborate with all Internal Medicine sales forces and business partners to maximize efforts and enhance business outcomes while fostering a culture of engagement.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required; a minimum of six (6) years of professional Pharmaceutical sales experience is required; a minimum of three (3) years of Specialty sales and/or Institutional sales is highly preferred; a minimum of two (2) years of large Pharmaceutical account management experience is highly preferred; a minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience with demonstrated success in leading and/or developing a productive sales team is highly preferred; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required; candidates must reside within the stated geography or be willing to relocate to the stated geography; an in-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry including an understanding of key stakeholders and delivery of care models is required; demonstrated success in delivering sales results is required. This position will require travel which may include overnights and/or weekends in support of the business.
