The Manager, Biostatistics will work independently on Phase 1 trial planning and analysis activities in the Cardiovascular/Metabolism and Neurosciences therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will take a lead role in providing statistical input to clinical study design, analysis methodologies and clinical study reports, as appropriate for Phase 1 protocols. The responsibilities will also include providing statistical support to other disciplines related to Phase 1 clinical statistics and serving as a primary statistics contact person for outside investigators in the preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts. The Manager, Biostatistics will take a lead role in process improvement, training, standards development or an area of technical expertise.

Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Statistics or related field with a minimum of 8 years’ experience is required OR a PhD in Statistics or related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Knowledge of SAS programming and other significant statistical software (e.g., S-Plus, PASS) is required.
Knowledge of regulatory guidance documents, such as ICH guidance documents is required.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills is required.
Experience working with cross functional teams is preferred.
Experience presenting to technical and lay groups at public meetings is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of statistical methodology including experience with modeling and simulations is preferred.
