Responsible for conducting technical quality assuranceinspections and using results to improve production processes and standards
Responsibilities
- Perform complex tests and analyses to assure that products comply with established specifications
- Carrie out difficult calculations and prepare documentation that shows the results of tests performed
- Complete record of inspection results, acceptance, rejection and disposition
- Enter data into log books or computer databases
- Compile data and prepare reports on findings
- Conduct scheduled calibration and maintenance on test equipment
- Establish maintenance and calibration schedule for test equipment based on manufacturers recommendations and maintain equipment records
- Coordinate specialized product/customer quality testing
- Prepare custom reports on results
- Recommend and implement revisions, correction and change to test equipment, procedures and methods
- Troubleshoot defective products returned by customers to determine root causes of failure
- Compile data to identify trends and propose corrective action
- Initiate and coordinate discussions with quality, engineering and other relevant departments to develop corrective actions for reoccurring problems
- Liaise with Line Manager, Matrix OPL and Project Leader regarding testing priority
- Perform general laboratory duties such as glassware washing, housekeeping, control and ordering of consumables and lab record management
- Investigate Out of Specification / Out of Trend data, including raising the appropriate Quality System records and performing associated corrective actions
- Support validation activities associated with Matrix
- Support validation of test equipment and test methods
- Comply with site HSE and quality procedures
- Train other laboratory technicians
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry required
- 4 to 6 years related experience
- Good knowledge of the microbiological methods and the processes of sterilization
- Experience with the GMP/GML and work in clean rooms would be an asset
- English and French speaken and written fluently
- Ease with the modern computing tools
- Problem solving
- Ability to work in a team and/or independently
