Engineering Co-op will: Provide plant support for various projects/assignments as requested. Assist operations leader in leading meetings. Manage project activity and execute select tasks under supervision. Be coached and closely supervised by operations leader to assume increasing amounts of responsibility as the project progresses. Present final project to Plant staff such as scorecard and project performance. Have the opportunity to learn processes and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university is required. Actively pursuing at least a Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required. Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or BioEngineering academic major is preferred. Completion of at least freshman year of an undergraduate academic program is required. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Summer/Fall Co-op (June-December) is required. A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 (based on 4.0 scale) is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities is preferred.
Engineering Co-op positions are located in San Angelo, Texas. Ability to commute to/from this work location is required. A stipend will be offered to students that meet the commuting distance eligibility requirements. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
