Animas Canada, a division of LifeScan Canada Ltd and a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Territory Manager, based in Edmonton covering Northern Alberta including Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer.

The primary duties of this position include:
Manage a large geographical territory, covering Northern Alberta including Red Deer, to drive Animas sales and share in both insulin pump sales and consumables
Uncover and exceed consumers (insulin pump users) and customer (DNE's, Endocrinologist, PCP's) needs
Drive Animas recommendations via Health Care Professional Channel (DNE's, Endocrinologists, PCP's).
Provide education and training to consumers and customers
Travel commitment of 80%
Other important considerations:
Typical workday will include calling on health care professionals during the day and/or performing consumer presentations in the evening.
Expect to receive phone calls in the evening and on weekends from current and potential customers
Most consumer presentations are performed at the potential pump user's home.
Qualifications
This position requires the following education, experience & demonstrated competencies:
Minimum of 3-5 years successful sales experience is required with preference given to individuals with medical device, capital equipment or pharmaceutical experience
University degree is required with preference given to Registered Nurse with Certified Diabetes Educator Designation
Passion and commitment to the diabetes category - with preference given to individuals with Type I, insulin pump knowledge and experience
Outstanding selling skills with a focus on uncovering consumers (insulin pump users) and customer (DNE's, Endocrinologist, PCP's) needs.
Preference will be given to those with existing territory knowledge and established HCB relationships.
The ability to display empathy for the consumer combined with a competitive drive and determination to do what it takes - "leave no stone unturned" to exceed the consumers needs and expectations
Excellent organizational skills
Works with a high degree of emotional intelligence and business integrity
Self starter - motivated by exceeding the needs of an insulin pump consumer
Excellent negotiation skills which include price and financial payment terms
Requires a valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to meet corporate safe fleet requirements.
