Description
The Crucell Vaccine Institute (CVI), part of Janssen Research & Development for Immunoprophylaxis, is recruiting for a part-time Lab Coordinator located in La Jolla, CA.
The Crucell Vaccine Institute is part of the Janssen Center of Excellence for Immunoprophylaxis in La Jolla, CA. Our Innovation and Discovery team is focused on identifying and developing vaccines and immunotherapies to address unmet medical needs for the prevention and treatment of infectious and non-infectious diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases.
We are searching for a Lab Coordinator to join our diverse team to help with ordering, receiving and restocking of laboratory supplies, equipment acquisition and maintenance, space planning, lab safety and lab organization. This position will also serve as the lab Safety Officer. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be reliable, detail-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
Qualifications
A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. in a scientific discipline is required, with a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience and/or lab management experience is required.
Experience with general biological laboratory equipment and supplies, environmental health and safety issues, computer skills and Microsoft programs is required.
Previous experience with scientific writing and compiling scientific reports will be considered a plus.
This position is for 20 hours per week..
