Description

Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Occupational Health Nurse, located in Raritan, NJ.

The Senior Occupational Health Nurse will coordinate and deliver occupational health services and programs at a specific site. Assigns duties to the professional and ancillary nursing personnel based on patient and site needs and available staff. Supervises and evaluates work performance of the nursing staff in terms of patient care, staff relationships, efficiency of service and performance.

Directs the preparation and maintenance of patients' records and supplies and equipment. Assists in developing and administering the budget.

This individual will also coordinate the provision of Health Services and Programs according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Partners with Health & Safety team to coordinate the employee's total health and wellness needs. Directs nursing care to ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to foster the provision of effective health and safety programs. Manages Health Services program deliverables to assure optimal cost effectiveness. Identifies service problems and assists in resolution. Participates in conferences and discussions with Health Services & Resources personnel. Assures effective communication occurs within the team, with key customers and with the Health Services and Resources Manager. Presents new policies and procedures to staff and to key customers. Maintains a safe environment for employees within the medical unit. Operates or supervises the operation of specialized equipment assigned to the unit and provides assistance and guidance to technicians as required. Plans and coordinates the activity of the health services unit and pro-actively suggests modifications if needed. Prepares reports on the care and outcomes of employees seen. Investigates and resolves customer complaints. Orients and trains new nursing staff. Interviews RN contractors. Documents program outcomes and/or process improvements. Monitors the quality of vendor services. Responsible for budget oversight. Participates on or leads internal or cross functional projects and teams. Participates in the Employee Development Program process. Attends continuing education programs.

Qualifications


Current Registered Nurse license for the state of New Jersey required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent education preferred. Minimum of Five (5) years of experience as a professional Nurse required. Three (3) or more years of Occupational Health Nursing experience required. Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required. Experience achieving business results through interdependent partnering activities preferred. Working knowledge of regulatory areas (e.g., ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Comp, STD/LTD) required. Phlebotomy skills required. Hearing conservation and spirometry certifications preferred.
