Reports to Analytics & Technology Manager, GSC PMO

JOB PURPOSE

Part of team that will Lead the development of an analytical capability in the Project Management Office of DePuy Synthes (a Johnson & Johnson company) supporting all business units & geographical regions to guide strategic decision making as well as drive supply chain improvements. This is part of a new dedicated global supply chain analytics team.

This role will require collaboration across the end-to-end supply chain in a matrix structured organization. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in such an environment with a track record of leadership and influencing skills. The successful applicant will have strong leadership competencies and possess the capability to progress through the DePuy Synthes organization into roles of increasing responsibility in the future.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytical Capability Development

-
Accelerate the formation of the supply chain analytical capability, strategy & roadmap.

-
Lead the delivery of a best-in-class analytical capability in supply chain encompassing technology & people.

Drive the engagement with technology partners (internal & external) to deliver technology solutions to enable strategic decision making.

Identify & leverage resources (internal & external) to accelerate & scale analytical capability.

Support the development of a learning organisation through coaching.

Analytical Leadership

-
Provide analytical coaching & mentoring across all levels in the organisation.

Connect & influence commercial, supply chain & analytical stakeholders across the enterprise.

Enabling Strategic Decision Making

Gather & analyse data to solve complex problems & evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes & support strategic decision making.

Balance a hands-on approach with the ability to work through others to deliver rapid, high quality analysis on a broad range of topics.

Drive change in business processes through the use of advanced analytics in partnership with cross-functional supply chain teams. Uses analytical & quantitative methods to understand, predict & enhance supply chain performance.

Qualifications


Essential:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in:
- Computer Science / Programming, Business, BIS, Supply Chain, Operational Research or Engineering or related field.

Desirable:

- Masters/PhD Degree in an associated field
- Black Belt six-sigma certification
- APICS Certification
- De Bono Training

Knowledge

Essential:
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong IT skill-set
- Lateral thinking
- Problem Solving
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical skills & logical thinking with statistical modelling / data analysis competency.

Desirable:
- Supply chain experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of financial processes
- Experienced ERP / Planning Systems User
- As a project manager, demonstrated delivery of significant technical projects in a fast paced matrix environment.
- Experience in leveraging Data Acquisition, Transformation and Visualisation tools. (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Tableau etc)
