McNeil Healthcare LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Lab Supervisor- 2nd shift, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Lab Supervisor will be responsible for activities of all laboratory personnel and substitutes for the Manager in his/her absence. They will perform final review of all test samples (components, raw materials, in-process bulk, finished product, commercial stability, method transfer, method development and qualification, and cleaning validation) to provide a high degree of assurance that all data is handled, managed, and released in a technically competent, compliant and efficient manner. This position requires thorough knowledge of domestic and international requirements, the ability to interact with other departments, and excellent written and oral communication skills. This position interacts with various internal departments and external divisions on a routine basis to coordinate manufacturing, release, stability, development, and validation efforts. They will provide technical support and trouble-shooting for technical issues internally and externally. They will author, review and lead lab investigations. They will be responsible to review and/or write the following documents: Annual Product Reviews (APR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality System Reviews (QSRs), Instrument qualification, protocol/report writing, trending and analysis of data, and laboratory investigations. They will also ensure compliance with cGMP's and safety training and regulations. Maintains an environment of respect and teamwork with all coworkers. They will act as technical advisor for testing issues and interact with regulatory agencies as required.
Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Lab Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of 5 conversations for the team. Responsible that all relevant processes (i.e. HR, finance, etc.) are executed and in compliance for the team. Act as a mentor and coach in functional area. Responsible to develop, train and educate direct reports and provide resources and support to ensure that they can execute their goals and objectives successfully and in a compliant manner. They will be the microbiology lab SME to understand the critical aspect of product, component and labeling requirements. They will be point of reference for Audit and acts as SME.

Qualifications
A minimum of Bachelors of Science Degree is required. A focus degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Natural Science, Medical Technology or related science is preferred. Minimum 4 years of GMP quality lab experience in a pharmaceutical and/or OTC and/or medical device and/or regulated environment are required. Basic knowledge/exposure of a LIMS/SAP ERP system is preferred. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
This position is located in Fort Washington, PA. This position is second shift (3pm - 11pm).
