The Senior Financial Analyst Payroll/Benefits will be responsible for all of the accounting related to compensation, benefits and headcount actual reporting for the two US operating companies. Responsibilities will include: processing journal entries, ensuring SOX requirements are met, troubleshooting general ledger posting and accounting issues, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing and resolving reconciliation exceptions and ensuring they are corrected on a timely basis. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring all processes are appropriately documented and updated as needed as well as generating and reviewing compensation and headcount reports. He/she will also lead the compensation, benefits & headcount forecasting and serve as a finance/accounting expert in the compensation/benefits space and will be the liaison between Finance and HR payroll/HR benefits. Since this is a newly created function, he/she will be expected to continue to seek opportunities to automate and standardize processes by partnering with HR and IT. He/she will also be providing support on ad-hoc projects as required. The Senior Financial Analyst Payroll/Benefits will report into the General Accounting Manager.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelors degree is required preferably a major in Accounting or Finance. A CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of payroll/benefits finance experience is required. Candidate must possess excellent analytical skills (MS Excel), knowledge of accounting practices related to payroll/benefits, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills are required. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. SAP experience preferred.
