Description

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for an IT Lead, Data Conversion. This position will be based in New Brunswick, NJ and may require up to 25% travel.

To advance the company's talent management strategy, Johnson & Johnson has embarked on an enterprise program (Workday Program) that deploys capabilities such as Core HR, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Organizational Management, and Reporting and Analytics. The successful deployment of these HR capabilities will result in increased productivity, better employee engagement, more accurate and timely information for business decisions, and enablement of future talent initiatives. The Workday Program is recruiting for an IT Lead to focus on the area of Data Conversion.

The position will be supporting the development and management of the overall data conversion strategy for Project Sunrise ("Workday deployment") and HR Global Data Integration (GDI) initiative, and supporting the data quality and data governance efforts while partnering with the HR Operations community. This person will be the data subject matter expert to optimize the data conversion tool to manage data from local HR systems to be converted to Workday and Global Data Warehouse (GDW). In addition, the position will have the responsibility to manage analytical and data related projects across Global HR, and IT teams, and collaborate with HR to understand, address and present solutions to issues.

Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following: Subject Matter Expert for all related Data Elements and System Integration Points for local HR systems that will be in scope for data conversion activities for Project Sunrise and GDI team; Understand the relationships and dependencies of all HR Data Elements, Data Structures, Data Warehouses (i.e. Job, Comp, and Details, etc); Lead Data Strategy initiatives - provide Project Management oversight in partnership with internal IT partners to maintain current data platforms or design, develop and implement data platforms to support the organization; Support any critical activities related to the conversion after launch; (i.e. Governance Models, SLA activities, Standard Operating Procedures).

Candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot and work with the Project Sunrise and GDI team to resolve data discrepancies, system inaccuracies/deficiencies within any system/data structure used within the GDI; Responsible for being the testing lead for data conversion related data; Partner closely with HR, Workday, GDW and ancillary downstream system owners to ensure quality of processing and distribution of data throughout the organization; Develop measures and processes to objectively assess and monitor related data; Report on conversion metrics; Develop and prepare dashboards & metrics for management review; Change Management - Act as a change agent for critical initiatives and represent key HR Planning and Operations initiatives for the related organizations; Business Knowledge: Partner closely with HRIT, and HR ops related data partners and leaders to understand key strategic priorities to ensure alignment of overall data strategy.

Qualifications


A BS or BA (preferably in IT, HRM, or Business related field) is required. A minimum of five (5) years of IT work experience is required. Experience in HR, performance, compensation or talent related applications and data is preferred. Experience with Workday is preferred. Experience with ETL tools and technologies is required. Experience with Database structures (e.g. Oracle or SQL Server.) is required. Experience with interface technologies (e.g. Informatica or WebMethods) is preferred. Experience in query & report writing tools (i.e. Microsoft Access, Cognos Impromptu, and SQL) and data access methods is required. With limited supervision, ability to understand, translate and integrate multiple data sources into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and data management skills are preferred. Knowledge of analytical tools is preferred. Experience in Project Management is required. Ability to lead multiple projects with conflicting deadlines is required.

Strong analytical experience is required. Strong business acumen and technical skills is required. A proven track record of working in a matrix/ cross-functional environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed is also required. Result oriented, demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership is required. Must be able to proactively sense and respond to problems and opportunities. Collaboration and teaming, having the ability to work in a matrixed reporting structure and to be part of a project team is required. Ability to interact with senior levels of management and exercise independent judgment with regard to business decisions is required. . Excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required. This position is based in New Brunswick, NJ and may require up to 25% travel.
