Reporting to the Global Orthopedics Advanced Sourcing Director, the ASM (Advanced Sourcing & Innovation Lead), will lead the DePuy Mitek Business Unit to contemporary best practice Sourcing support for NPD (New Product Development/ Launch) and the delivery of results. He / she will support the integration of the Advanced Sourcing organization into the MD&D Supply Chain and Franchise Development and R&D organizations, and be a key leader in driving a fully integrated best in class Advance Sourcing program within the Business Unit. They will be a leader on the R&D/ OI (Operations Integration) teams. This leader is expected to provide hands-on leadership in all aspects of global Sourcing for new product introduction, having overall responsibility for supplier selection, cost / quality / reliability / and Innovation and Supplier Diversity.
As the ASM, he / she will develop New Product Sourcing Selection and strategy for the Business Unit and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice New Product Development and will leverage MD&D’s position in Direct Material categories.
The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 8-5
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years Supply Chain experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience in Medical Devices or related industry is preferred
Strong communication, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion.
Able to travel (10% or less)
Ability to analyze components and raw materials sourcing requirements.
Adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities
Proven ability to influence/collaborate required.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
