Our business model is built around prescribed and reimbursed blood glucose meters and test strips requiring a marketing & sales approach involving Health Care Professionals, Trade Partners, Patients and Payers.
Position Summary
To drive and represent the LifeScan business in large strategic accounts (hospitals, pharmaceutical wholesalers, medical mail order companies, health care insurers) and to strengthen market insight and cultural presence in ‘trade market’, we have an exciting opportunity for Key Account Manager for the Netherlands. The KAM demonstrates expert consultative selling skills and capacities to deal with fierce purchasers. Develops and broaden commercial position of LifeScan with key accounts i.e. medical dealers, pharmaceutical wholesalers and traders and identify how changes in Dutch healthcare market might influence distribution and influencing landscape in order to reach NTS, share and ASP according to or above BP. Reporting to Business Unit Leader.
Key responsibilities:
1: Ensure strong commercial position with Key Accounts (Medical Mail Order Companies, Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Trade)
Major responsibilities:
- Develop en follow-up Key account plans for major Key Accounts including:
- Sales volumes & shares : follow up & selling out and in data LFS and competitors where possible
- Pricing
- Activities
- Identify, plan, follow up/monitoring actions to leverage on the DTP and HCP communication capacities of key accounts
- Internal communication towards sales and marketing
- Gather and update other Key data, especially sales
- Relationship management with all distributors
2: Strengthen market insight and structural presence in “trade market”

Monitor impact of health insurance company developments and other financial players in the market at distribution level and propose how LifeScan can position itself optimally in this landscape in order to gain share and increase NTS

Analyze pricing and availability of competitors (e.g.: “Z-index” …)

Help in developing optimal monitor mechanisms of national and international trade
3: Propose and follow up internal sales

Determine internal sales volumes

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Master degree in trade, management or economics preferably with specialization healthcare
- Educational background: Sales, commercial engineer, Marketing, Commercial finance
- Work experience: at least 5 years sales experience within (international) Healthcare
- Technical Skills: excellent communicator and negotiator, strong business acumen, strong relationship skills, strong analytic skills, master IT tools
