The Global Brand Protection organization reports into the Customer Logistics Services.
Customer Logistics Services strives to deliver an exceptional customer experience through leading critical customer facing-functions such as distribution and transportation. In addition, CLS oversees critical business enablers, including how we gather and manage supply chain master data, safe and secure supply chain practices, product identification standards, and market/channel access capabilities. CLS supports all three sectors of Johnson & Johnson: Medical Device & Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Products. This team is represented in multiple countries, and continues to grow globally in both visibility and responsibility. The CLS team reports to Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain and partners closely with groups throughout the supply chain organization.
The Senior Manager Market Monitoring works within the Global Brand Protection organization and manages market intelligence, data analysis capabilities, and processes. These activities include the development and analysis of the brand protection incident analysis, internet monitoring, market surveys, and commercial supply and demand reports. As a global, cross-sector role the scope of the position includes pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics, and consumer products sold into all markets and all channels of trade. This individual will reconcile information available from primary and secondary supply chain data resources for inequities and other anomalies to help ensure product moves through authorized supply channels. The Senior Manager Market Monitoring will establish ongoing surveillance services to identify sources of illicit trade on internet sites.
The Senior Manager Market Monitoring will assist the Sector Lead Directors and the Regional Brand Protection Directors within the Global Brand Protection organization in developing programs to support their brand protection objectives. In addition the Manager will participate in the creation of training modules, process improvements and information sharing forums to serve stakeholders throughout Johnson & Johnson businesses, such as distribution, supply chain, contracting, trade relations, legal, government affairs, security, and regulatory. This individual will investigate, manage and monitor brand protection technology applications utilized within the global supply chains. This position will proactively scan the supply chain through activities such as market surveys, targeted purchases, analysis of returns, product inspection and authentication.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A focused degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Technical, Scientific and/or related field is preferred. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required. Experience one of the following: regulatory affairs, channel management, contract management, information technology, packaging, procurement, auditing/compliance, operations or trade relations is required. Experience in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and/or Consumer is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of brand protection is highly preferred.
This candidate must be able to understand, respect and work within the cultural diversity of the global environment. Relationship building, and project management experience is required. Superior communication skills, written and oral, especially at the executive level are required. Adept understanding of key relevant business processes such as financial systems, regulatory requirements and supply chain strategies is preferred. The ability to work regionally and globally, across sectors, and supply chain functions is required.
This position could require up to 25% overnight travel. This position is based in Raritan, NJ.
