An opportunity exists to become a Territory Manager in our Ethicon Energy division of Ethicon Surgical Care to cover North Wales, Chester and Stoke-on-Trent.
Job Purpose / Key Objective
To champion and drive forward the growth of the UK Energy business in line with Credo values through
- Promotion of a comprehensive portfolio of advanced energy surgical devices
- Promotion of associated capital equipment to facilitate use of advanced energy devices
- Activity aligned with UK Energy strategies
- Utilization of all available business resources
· Development and maintenance of business relationships with key influencers and decision maker across the geographical boundary
High Level Responsibilities.
- Responsible for delivery of sales results in accordance with targets set for the specified territory whilst collaborating with other regional team members.
- Builds and executes effectively against territory business plan
- Accountable for effective planning and preparation with accurate and timely reporting standards
- Utilisation of the company’s adopted selling tools – Integrity Selling
- Collaborates with other Energy colleagues and other franchise colleagues across J&J
- Strive for excellence in customer relationship management demonstrated through a key account management approach
- Strive for clinical excellence in relation to our products and drive procedure adoption in line with the UK Energy strategy
- Has an expert grasp of the customer and marketplace challenges of the specified region and can adapt to changing environment and market conditions, whilst managing short and long-term customer needs
- Uphold Credo values in all interactions with internal and external customers
Specific Activities:
- Utilises sales planning and sales reporting tools to effectively target the right customers
- Drives Sales by executing against agreed activity and sales plans
o Working with customers to drive penetration of product portfolio in Energy’s strategic procedures
o Working with KOLs to facilitate Minimal Access Surgery procedure adoption in focus areas
- Understand and implement the regional commercial strategy into the territory through collaboration with the commercial team and the Regional Business Manager. Manage local pricing and contract management
- Execute against strategic procedure and product areas by utilising materials and policy approaches as communicated by the marketing function
- Effectively manage the professional educational offering identified / planned for the Territory aligned to Energy’s strategic focus procedures
- Works within agreed budgets
- Understand market dynamics and challenges within territory and adapt activities accordingly
- Works with all J&J departments to ensure a high level of customer service to our customers
- Maintains competent grasp of product and procedure knowledge
Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge Required
- Degree level education (preferably business or science related)
- Experience within medical sales (preferably medical devices)
- A strong sales track record
- Tenacity, drive, ambition, and a hunger for sales success
- Demonstrates understanding of NHS and its modus operandi
- Trained to apply advanced Microsoft Office package skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Has proven ability to organise and prioritise work proactively utilizing own initiative
