Description

J&J Consumer is a leading manufacturer of FMCG and OTC Products with sales of approx. $15.0 Billion. Global Consumer SC Procurement optimizes spend of $4.5B across direct materials and external manufacturing. The PEX team is a group of seasoned professionals and managers with strong functional and/or enabling competencies in strategic procurement. This team delivers expertise and supports to J&J Consumer’s Global SC procurement team across the following areas: Sourcing Strategies and Strategic Plans (operational and organizational), Category Cost, Performance Management and Business Analytics, Procurement Fundamentals (Supplier & Contract Management), Risk Management, Technology Enablement (databases and spend management platforms), Global programs (e.g Quantum Leap) with functional expertise (task force), technology platforms and expert analytics resources. The COE Risk Management + NA Regional Lead requires competencies and skills around J&J’s Business & Industry, Strategic Procurement, finance, and market intelligence; and a superior level of understanding of J&J’s categories viz Direct Materials and Contract Manufacturing, and their value chains.

This person will be will be accountable as the Global COE Risk lead to develop (alongside Enterprise Procurement), the key processes, methodologies, and tools around category risk management, including delivering exposure analysis, and BCP recommendations to the PLT + Category teams across the regions. As a Regional Lead – work with other COE Leads to implement, train and deliver outcomes & results generated by the other Global COEs (functional / enablement) within the specific region. The incumbent will also work with regional PLT to “pull” requirements for processes, tools and capabilities that would be addressed by PEX (through the other COEs); and represent PEX on the Regional PLT to ensure mutual connections between regional deliverables and global PEX objectives. Act as Consumer Procurement’s representative to the Enterprise Supply Risk Management (ESRM) Council, and will drive / collaborate to optimize and deploy Risk Management practices within Procurement. Deliver SME level expertise on Risk Management to Global Consumer SC Procurement, engage with the SCRM ESRM council and develop/deploy Risk Prioritization platform, use PEX managed BI resources to provide category risk communications and mitigations, recommend & enable strategic actions to category leaders CPOs on risk exposed categories, integrate Risk Management into Category / Sourcing Strategies, standardize the Supply Disruption (SDCT) tool to deploy globally through training and usage, engage other regional PEX leads to collaborate in deployment, publish global summary of current Supply Risks aligning threshold impact with stakeholders, engage resources to provide a supplier financial solvency service to all categories & region, specific / on-request financial due diligence to support MEPs, Contracts and business cases, drive continuous improvement in the COE with benchmark & best practice applications, collaborate with other COE Leads to enable regional deployment & adoption of PEX initiatives, ensure strong & consistent connections between regional deliverables, and developments and global PEX objectives; maintaining compliance to PEX’s operating principles and vision, support the Performance COE with ensuring the update of Regional Dashboards for publishing, manage regional resources to support PEX activities / COE leads, ensure deployment through training, user-testing, regional stakeholder alignment, PLT and travel as required. Work in a team of highly skilled resources to support Procurement objectives & Business imperatives; and when appropriate engage specialized external resources towards these purposes, represent J&J / PEX with internal and external companies & partners, maintaining the strictest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and J&J standards of compliance, interface, collaborate with senior management internally, particularly with Regional PLT, consult to / advise / partner with regional & senior J&J leaders on all aspects of Strategic Procurement; directly driving or influencing capability enhancement of the function, drive and/or enable J&J strategic procurement competency to best-in-class globally, represent Consumer PEX in certain aligned global initiatives. Possess professional competence and experience (>5 years) in strategic procurement, particularly category management, knowledge of J&J’s business and supply chain, particularly the category value chains, working knowledge of analytics (financial & operational); user level skills in market intelligence & insights, strong record of engagement and collaboration in a multinational, multi-stakeholder / matrix organization.

Qualifications


This person must have a minimum 10 years of relevant experience required. A university degree in Economics or Business or Science or Engineering required. Must have SME level expertise in Strategic Procurement, proven results leading Strategic Sourcing teams required, A good working knowledge of overall operations in a Consumer oriented (B2C) business required, experience working in an international, cross-functional and multiple stake-holder environment required, experience working in the area of FMCG and/or OTC is very desirable, proven leadership and collaborative skills required.

Must be willing to travel as required.
