We are currently recruiting for an Asset Management Engineer in our Facilities Asset Management Center of Excellence (FAM CoE). This position can be based at any site within the North America, EMEA or ASPAC region where Johnson & Johnson currently has an office location.

This position forms part of the Facilities Asset Management Program, across Johnson & Johnson’s global portfolio of sites and drives standardized practices in asset maintenance. The position provides technical support for facilities operations, deploying all aspects of the asset management CoE strategy.

The position works closely with Site Facility leads. The scope of the job covers all aspects of the asset life cycle from design, specification, procurement, construction, Commissioning & Qualifications (C&Q), operation, maintenance, renovation or renewal and retirement.

A key responsibility is ensuring asset management best practice is deployed and sustained at site level, through development of equipment asset management strategies and plans. The asset management engineer supports facility operations and maintenance, capital planning and cost and continuous improvement activities.

This asset management engineer will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including: stakeholders in facilities operations, ME2, equipment vendors, facilities service providers, reliability and infrastructure services. The asset management engineer also contributes to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) harmonization.

Additional responsibilities include: Input into Asset Management Vision, Policy and Strategy, to maximize the overall life-cycle of the assets. Work with Facility Site Managers to develop voice of customer for their requirements from Asset Management CoE. Develop O&M standards, SOPs, WIs, etc. for FM equipment. Ensure alignment to existing Design standards.Deploy Preventive Maintenance Optimisation (PMO) program. Develop and deploy equipment reliability program. Provide technical support to Site Facility leads. Use Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) outputs combined with work order data (CMMS) to assess current equipment condition and recommend optimal Opex and Capex spends, for use in multi-year asset infrastructure replacement plans. Support boiler safety programme and completion of all boiler assessments and critical findings. Input into future boiler inspection strategy, including change management, recalled components management, PHA requalification, re-inspections, etc. Deploy the asset management assessment tool to determine facility maturity in asset life cycle activities. Support and deploy this tool in Make and Non Make sites. Identify main gaps in facility maturity and develop action plans for each of these gaps. Develop ISO55000 knowledge and incorporate standard practices.

Develop an on-line technical support forum for FM related queries. Develop easily accessible data repository for CoE information. Work with Procurement to align Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts (including condition monitoring, compressed air equipment, etc.). Deploy utility operations strategy and all associated procedures and best practices. Deploy utility maintenance and reliability strategy and all associated procedures and best practices. Roll out PM optimisation model to three Sectors. Work with Do it Now (DIN) team on expanding DIN initiatives (MRO, Parts repair and Service contracts).

Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree is required in an Engineering field (Mech, Elec, Inst, Auto, Chem or related). An advanced degree is a plus. A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience is required. Experience in Facilities OR Utilities Operations OR Maintenance is required. Experience/knowledge of SAP OR Maximo is required. Ariba experience is preferred, but not required. Experience in MS Office required. Strong analytical and reporting tools required (LEAN experience preferred). Experience in customer interfaces (such as Sharepoint, electronic surveys, electronic reports, etc) is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in GMP, EHS, Compliance and other regulatory standards is required. Experience in Asset Management, maintenance and reliability best practices is required. Knowledge of emerging best practices and industry innovations is required. Strong English written and oral communication skills are required. Financial/budget management experience is preferred. Adept at working in a matrix organization leading exempt and external resources is required. Ability to lead a team of external suppliers with diverse skills and competencies spanning business and technical areas is required. Ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations is required. Innovative thinking, strong influencing skills and strong analytical skills are required. Proficiency in safety and environmental compliance is required. Travel and direct support to sites, estimated at 25-30%, is required.
