The North America Product Director Shoulder position is a customer-facing marketing role responsible for working closely with our surgeon-customers (both DePuy and competitive), and the sales network to achieve our business goals as the shoulder market-leader.
The Product Director will develop, lead, and execute a comprehensive surgeon engagement plan (professional education, communication, and marketing).
Establish on-going working relationships with surgeons (customers, consultants, and competitive).
Provide technical support during shoulder surgery cases.
Responsible for gaining physician acceptance, market penetration, and profitability for a market-leading shoulder portfolio by working closely with the sales network .
Support shoulder professional education events (setup, station manning, clean-up) and industry meetings (AAOS, San Diego Shoulder, Metcalf, ASES, Tampa Shoulder, etc.)
Provide leadership in a business team environment for the on-time delivery of new product introductions and management of existing product lines.
Gather customer requirements and requirements to shape new product introductions, marketing messaging strategies, and adjustments to exisiting marketing strategies.
Provide support and expertise to the sales network in the form of training, technical assistance, and development of support materials.
May be responsible of the oversight and professional development of a direct report.

Qualifications


Four year college degree required. An MBA preferred.
Five years or more of orthopaedic total joint marketing experience required. Experience with shoulder arthroplasty products highly desirable.
Ability to make effective marketing presentations to small and large groups.
Ability to utilize either written or oral communications skills to produce effective marketing promotion materials that accomplish strategic product goals/objectives. Ability to apply marketing concepts (Product, Promotion, Pricing, Placement) that result in meeting product portfolio goals and objectives.
Ability to apply knowledge of competitive systems to resolve sales/marketing issues
Ability to appropriately apply J&J Health Care Compliance guidelines to management decisions
Ability to travel 50%+
