Description
Mentor, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Customer Quality Assistant in our Santa Barbara, CA office.

Reporting to Manager of Customer Quality, this individual manages heavy phones and filing system. Will be trained to serve as Records Clerk for the department. Will assist the department by helping maintain physical and electronic files set up, updates, and closure.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:Manage full life cycle of files for the department, including physical file set up, electronic set up, updates, file closure; Assist with proofreading and submitting check request; Proofread checks (amount, payee, addresses, number of checks requeted vs. number received) received before checks are mailed; Help triage phone calls; and Complete special projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also have the ability to do the following: work in a fast-paced environment; spend prolonged periods of time on telephone conversations; follow written and verbal instructions; effectively document conversations and agreements; give attention to detail; work with changing priorities; effectively listen; to remain calm when conversations become emotional or volatile; and have the ability to work independently with limited direct supervision

Qualifications
The following experiences are required: High School diploma; 3+ years experience in a customer-facing position requiring complaint or problem resolution; Experience managing large volumes of files; strong ability to alphabetize; and attention to detail.
The following experiences are preferred: Two year AA or AS degree; Knowledge of medical terminology; and bilingual English and Spanish.
