Global Supply Chain, Medical Devices & Diagnostics External Operations is recruiting for a Senior Supply Planning Analyst for DePuy Synthes. This position will be based in Raynham, Massachusetts and reports to the Planning Team Lead within the External Operations Planning group.
The Sr. Supply Planning Analyst will manage supply planning and scheduling processes for External Operations for their assigned portfolio. This person will enable attainment of target service levels, while achieving target inventory objectives. This person will prepare supply plans and production schedules for external partners and will efficiently convert global demand requirements into an attainable supply plan for products manufactured by external partners. The individual will create the monthly S&OP package for the key partners and will lead the supply S&OP meetings.
Areas of responsibility include capacity planning, S&OP, production scheduling, inventory management, distribution, transportation, new product launch management, and external partner order fulfillment. The Sr. Supply Planning Analyst will support the design, development and institutionalization of a best practice global S&OP process with key external business partners for the DePuy Synthes business. Collaborates with the PLAN organization to formally receive worldwide demand plans; conducts a formal process with the external partners to rationalize supply and demand, taking into account capacity and inventory. The Sr. Supply Planning Analyst also supports the process to integrate new, externally manufactured products into the S&OP process. This includes conducting scenario-based supply analyses to evaluate launch options and develop contingency plans with our external partners. The Sr. Supply Planning Analyst supports best practices in external partner supply planning, including master scheduling, detailed scheduling, capacity planning and distribution planning. The ability to complete complex spreadsheet analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning is required. This includes the ability to utilize the planning systems to gather the key data needed to drive business decisions. This person will support MD&D External Operations inventory reduction efforts, including analysis and inventory reporting on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics or Operations is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of related experience in supply chain management, production planning and/or materials management is required. Strong analytical skills, specifically within Excel to include v-look ups, pivot tables, and graphing is required. Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred. Experience in implementing projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce cost is also preferred.
Candidate must have ability to Communicate clearly and tactfully across all levels of the company and across the global supply chain. Ability to influence others in a matrix environment and challenge the status quo.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision with a strong sense of urgency is required. Experience and/or certification in Lean or Six Sigma processes are preferred. APICS certification is preferred and the candidate will be expected to certify once hired, if he/she does not already possess.
This position is based in Raynham, MA and may require up to 5% travel (domestic).
