Neutrogena, a member of the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting a Supply Chain Business Lead to be located in either Skillman, NJ as an interim location, or Los Angeles, CA.

Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products recommended, used and prescribed by dermatologists.

Supply Chain Business Lead

The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Business Lead is to ensure continuity of supply of finished goods for assigned brands within the Neutrogena franchise, in support of the overall Neutrogena franchise. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels and the deployment of finished goods according to customer demands and company objectives. The position will also advise management and brand/franchise team members of the current and future status of product supply related information for existing and new products. This position will manage 2-3 Supply Chain Professionals in the area of Demand Planning and Supply Planning.

The Supply Chain Business Lead will be accountable for the direct management for 2-3 Supply Chain Planners located at different locations throughout the North American region to drive business results and professional development. S/he will also be responsible for achieving brand/franchise UFR metric, evaluating backorder and critical inventory situations and takes corrective actions to resolve both the immediate and potential future reoccurrence. In addition, S/he will be responsible for proactively communicating customer service impact (time period, dollars) to management and brand/franchise team members. The supply chain business lead is accountable for achieving brand/franchise inventory metric (dollars/DOS) as well as planning, reviewing and managing finished good sku inventory levels (and work-in-progress inventory where appropriate). S/he will be responsible for the management of inventory targets in addition to identifying Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory and take appropriate action to discontinue/disposition inventory in support of brand/franchise SLOB metric.

This individual will be participating on New Product Launch teams for the timely implementation of new products and leading logistics execution teams during final phase of launch to ensure product availability meets customer demand. The supply chain business lead will also ensure that all system master data is complete in support of timeline.

Additionally, this individual will facilitate the brand/franchise S&OP process, lead strategic planning/siting within the S&OP process, and provide analyses and solutions for improving supply continuity and reducing cost, while achieving company objectives for customer service, inventory and gross profit. In terms of capacity management, the supply chain business lead will regularly review and understand network capacity requirements and capabilities to ensure that brand/franchise customer demands are met. S/he will be expected to understand demand requirements and translate them into capacity requirements for the production plants. S/he will facilitate production planning teams (and makes tradeoffs) to mitigate capacity constraints that impact customer service, as well as act as a key liaison between J&J Consumer and manufacturing sites.

This individual will be responsible for creating process improvements, and leading implementation to deliver business results.

In addition to the above, the Supply Chain Business Lead will be expected to pursue developmental training opportunities, particularly in the area of supply chain management via APICS certification. The J&J Consortium also provides an array of developmental training opportunities. Based on organizational design, S/he may have full-time and/or part-time (intern/co-op) direct reports.

S/he will take advantage of mentoring opportunities (I.e. co-op mentoring) to develop self, people management skills and provide critical guidance to future recruits.

This individual will regularly collaborate with cross-functional partners including Internal and External Manufacturing Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Quality, Sales and Marketing to resolve issues impacting their areas of responsibility. The Supply Chain Business Lead will work with domestic and international manufacturing locations. S/he will lead Special Projects to improve forecast accuracy, inventory reductions, transit time, product site relocations, planning process improvements, and upstream supply chain improvements in compliance with the Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications


The Supply Chain Business lead must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. It is preferred that this individual has a focused degree in engineering, supply chain, operations or similar focus. Business Certifications and/or training are highly desirable. Appropriate certifications are: APICS: CSCP/CPIM, Process Excellence Six Sigma.

The Supply Chain Business Lead must have a minimum 5 years of business experience. It is highly preferred that this individual has 3 years of business experience in one of the following areas: planning, forecasting, distribution, purchasing, plant operations, or supply-chain. People Management Experience is preferred.

Additional Skills

Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system is preferred. Experience with web applications, Business Warehouse, and database applications are also preferred. The ability to develop deep insights into the needs of our patients, customers, markets, and communities, as well as the ability to cultivate external relationships and partnerships; be insight driven to uncover unmet needs; forge internal collaboration across all levels of the enterprise.

The Supply Chain Business Lead must possess a strong knowledge of MS Office with specific experience in MS Excel for tracking and performing analyses.

This position is located in Los Angeles, CA, or Skillman, NJ as an interim location, with an agreed upon start date to relocate to CA within 6 months of employment.
