Scope and Key Responsibilities:

The Procurement Leadership Development Program (PLDP) is a two-year non-rotational program in which a new hire will begin their Procurement career in a position with one of our operating companies. Positions within: Supply Chain Procurement, Commercial or R&D Procurement, External Manufacturing, or Procurement Operations are filled by PLDP hires. Some positions will have responsibility for partnering with the Category team and Category leader in developing and implementing strategies to drive significant value from the supplier base. This includes performing environmental scans, conducting in-depth research on existing and emerging trends, identifying new technology/solutions, screening potential new suppliers and performing complex analytical studies. Roles may also involve managing relationships with a few key suppliers, developing negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations. Some roles will include process improvement projects in critical areas in support of driving greater value for the Johnson & Johnson companies. Many of these roles provide internal consulting services to adjacent functional areas such as Marketing, R&D, Operations, Logistics, Legal, and Corporate Services. PLDP roles aim to provide the employee with a unique and broad perspective of Johnson & Johnson companies and markets while gaining important commercial skills.

Qualifications


A successful PLDP candidate possesses excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication (oral and written) skills, an ability to think strategically and creatively, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent project management skills.

Must be a current MBA or business related Masters Student planning to obtain a degree between December 2014 to July 2015.

Minimum of 3 years business experience is strongly preferred.

For Supply Chain Procurement PLDP positions, relevant course work in Supply Chain Management, Operations or Logistics is preferred.

Candidates must have language fluency of the country where the assignment is located, and be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where the assignment is located.
