Description
The End-To-End Traceability Leader (ASIA-PACIFIC) will report to the Director, End-To-End Traceability. The Leader will partner with their regional Business, IT and CLS counterparts to ensure that all regional product serialization and traceability projects are well-developed and well-executed, and promote development, utilization and expansion of our new product identification, serialization and traceability system of record to meet regulatory requirements and deliver value beyond compliance.
The End-To-End Traceability Leader will be responsible for:
- Driving regional usage and alignment, country by country, to enterprise product serialization and traceability design templates (e.g. standard license plate, adoption of GS1 standards, common label formats, standard site repository);
- Ensuring country specific project(s) program scope progresses in line with the project charter
- Defining business roles and engages / coordinates business resourcing including cross-functional;
- Coordinating and providing business input to process design and requirements gathering (including KPIs) and user acceptance testing (scripts and test conduct);
- Establishing an interface with Regulatory Affairs to assure all Project requirements are aligned with the regulatory demands across ASIA-PACIFIC countries;
- Escalating business design issues for resolution;
- Coordinating Business project efforts across multiple countries, projects and project work streams;
- Contributing to program governance approach and drive business alignment to this approach;
- Responsible for ensuring integration of external manufacturers, internal sites, 3rd party logistic providers and customers by working collaboratively with designated Business / IT Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders;
- Acting as liaison point with business QA, Change Management, Master Data, Global Tech Services, Labeling, and Regulatory to ensure appropriate involvement;
- Aiding the development of cost estimates; managing assigned budget and provide tracking of actual expenditures to plan;
Specific duties of the End-To-End Traceability Leader include (duties subject to further clarification / enhancement as the project progresses):
1. Decision Making Authority at the Project Level;
- Make or find consensus on business priorities that directly impact the project;
- Delegate tasks to project team members, specifically business functions;
- Function as point person to drive close to open business questions at the project level;
- Responsible for driving consensus with business stakeholders around issues related to scope/time/budget on the project;
2.Functions as ASIA-PACIFIC leader for all related Projects;
- Holds project managers responsible to keep project(s) on track across the work streams
- Accountable for getting various business leads to commit to deliverables and timelines;
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate business resources (time/people/money);
- Responsible for submitting business centric change requests to the Program Management Office;
- Responsible for capital and expense tracking for ASIA-PACIFIC project(s) budget
- Jointly responsible for getting accurate time estimates for business activities on the project (ensuring deadlines are realistic);
- Responsible for monitoring business risks and escalations to the Program Office.
3.Represents Business Interests at the Project Level.
- Understands the assumptions the business is making and makes project team aware
- Understands the business process impact of the project and communicates with those impacted
- Jointly works with IT PM to drive change management within the impacted organizations. Specifically around training, documentation, and ongoing support
- Responsible for tracking business benefits realization of the project(s)
- Accountable for that sufficient business resources are available for User Acceptance Testing Phases across project(s)
- Responsible for crafting weekly progress reports to Enterprise Program Management Office;
- Responsible for coordinating weekly business PMO calls with project leader(s);
4.Responsible for ensuring integration of external manufacturers, internal sites, 3rd party logistic providers and customers;
- Partner with designated project managers to ensure alignment with program/project goals and objectives, work plans and deliverables;
5.Manages and develops staff
- Actively manage assigned staff in a manner that maximizes productivity;
- Encourage effective cross-functional interactions and learning opportunities;
- Responsible for ensuring staff build and expand specific job skills such as project management and work flow mapping and analysis;
Qualifications
Skill requirements:
- This position requires 7-10 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
- Experience executing projects with increasing exposure to large scale programs in the life sciences industry including manufacturing, supply chain and associated areas of the business.
- PMI trained/certified and FPX training preferred.
- Experience with SAP in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes. APICS (Association for Operations Management) certification is an advantage.
- Experience with industry standards such as GS1 (Global Standards organization) is an advantage
- Experience with SAP Auto ID Infrastructure / Object Event Repository, Serialization systems or SAP-(e)WM is a distinct advantage; experience with JD Edwards is also an advantage.
- Given the global character of this role, fluent knowledge of English and excellent communication skills are required.
