For our Engineering Validation & Maintenance (EVM) department we are currently seeking for a fulltime;
Maintenance Engineer utilities & buildings (m/f)
Department/Project:
The EVM department is responsible for the total technical support of all facilities, utilities, production and laboratory areas and involved equipment. The main EVM activities are executed by three groups; Engineering takes care of projects that impact the existing situation. The Validation group looks after correct qualification and validation of GMP critical equipment and processes. The maintenance group is responsible for timely maintenance and calibration of all the utilities and equipment throughout all the 4 facilities on the Crucell Leiden site.
Job Description:
As a maintenance engineer UB (utilities & buildings) you will deploy and coordinate utility and facility maintenance in order to ensure compliance with Good Maintenance and Manufacturing Practices. You will conduct preventive-, corrective- and replacement maintenance on the systems that are assigned to your responsible area. The technical focus area will be primarily mechanical and electrical as well control systems like PLC, SCADA and BMS systems.
The position of maintenance engineer plays a key role during the yearly maintenance shutdown period in which our GMP production facilities is handed over to EVM for extensive maintenance. You will be in the lead for preparation, execution and finalization of this operation.
Next to the shutdown coordination you will be leading and supporting improvement and modification projects within the maintenance department. For this job it’s essential to combine your technical and communication skills with project management tools. Last but not least you will be joining the EVM 24/7 support team which means that on a regular bases you will have to be available for first line trouble shooting outside normal office hours.
Examples of key responsibilities :
• Planning and coordination of preventive, corrective and replacement maintenance activities.
• First line troubleshooting in case of technical problems.
• Spare part control and availability.
• Preparation, organization and coordination of yearly maintenance shutdown activities.
• Calibration planning & execution.
• Handling of maintenance & calibration documentation in an GMP environmentt
• Represent maintenance in projects.
• Lead and/or support maintenance improvement projects
• Member of the 24/7 support team.
Kwalificaties
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor or MBO+ in Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering
Specific Knowledge:
• Skills in troubleshooting & problem analyses, working with maintenance management programs.
• Experience in a maintenance organization preferably in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/process industry environment.
• Knowledge of utility systems like HVAC, water treatment, steam, Compressed Air and pharma-finish of cleanrooms and laboratories
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific for the pharmaceutical industry and maintenance (e.g., FDA, GMP, NEN3140, VCA,CE, etc.. )
Experience:
• For bachelor level minimum of 2- 4 years experience or for MBO+ more than 10 years of experience in similar field of expertise
• Working in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment.
Competences:
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Good analytical skills
• Problem solving oriented
• ‘Can do’ mentality
• Strong team player
