Description
This role will provide effective monthly regional management reporting, and be the assigned to a country or a group of countries in South East Asia, support the budgeting, planning and forecasting for the business units in the country/countries. In addition, the role will also provide analysis, combining financial, business and market data, to surface the right facts & learnings, drive necessary decisions, & partner stakeholders to facilitate the needed outcomes.
The role will involve working closely with finance counterparts in regional / country teams, as well as regional cross functional teams including sales & marketing, supply chain & supply chain finance, so as to ensure that what we work to implement will add practical value.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently partner with cross functional country and regional business, finance leads, marketing and other on the country/countries growth and profitability improvement initiatives & decisions:
- Analysis: Provide analysis & commentary of the region’s performance and plans. drive financial analysis for new product pre-launch planning and post launch assessment. Source and collect data, make recommendations with data driven insights. Support decision making & action planning
- Reporting: Support the delivery of financial reporting / planning requirements of global/regional sector, One JNJ SEA: monthly and quarterly financial reporting, business plan updates, long-term strategic plans
- Planning & Forecasting: Work with country business and finance teams to collect input, assemble financial plans, understand driving force behind the numbers, validate assumptions, and driving discussions arriving at an aligned plan between country and SEA leadership.
- Projects (ad hoc): Support One JNJ SEA finance team on the delivery of regional financial projects, and on reviews/presentation decks as and when required by the business or finance leadership team.
- Financial Modelling: Ability to use different statistical model to make future projections of risks and opportunities, and likelihood of financial forecasts and perform scenarios planning.
- System Readiness: Working with SAP/SAP tools and advanced excel worksheets. Knowing SAP is not a pre-requisite but should have prior experience in handling ERP systems and data warehouse. Knowledge with TM1 is advantageous.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Education:
· Bachelor of Finance, Accounting or Business Administration , Economics equivalent
· Accountancy professional certification
Experience/Skills:
· Knowledge of a financial planning in FMCG/Medical Device/Pharmaceutical/Healthcare environment would be an advantage
· Track record of excellence with retrieving, analyzing and generating meaningful insights from data
· Good business acumen, and ability to assemble data from multiple sources together to form reports and analysis to measure business and financial performance, deduce forward trends, uncovering business insights, and validating business assumptions
· Conversant with various forecasting models will be added advantage
· Good knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal control preferred
· Demonstrate ability to work with cross-functional teams and make a telling contribution
· Strong communication skills
· Advanced in use of Excel is required
LOCATION
This position is to be based anywhere in Southeast Asia (where a J&J Office is located) No relocation provided, role holder will remain in their current country of residence (within SEA)
