The Inspection Supervisor will be Responsible for overall results and employee relations within inspection area in regard to: scheduling, materials, product quality, training, inspection performance and department output. Coordinates activities with other Elmira, supervisors to ensure consistency.
The Inspection Supervisor plans, directs, and controls activities of subordinates in order to meet overall departmental objectives. Develops personnel in order to meet objectives. Interfaces with all types of management, engineering, toolroom, maintenance, and materials personnel in order to meet product requirements in terms of timeliness, quality and smooth product introduction. Interfaces, as needed, with outside vendors, product development managers, etc. Responsible to maintain good communications and consistent policy application to employees on all shifts. Sets operational budget and procedures. Will know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times. Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your Supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer. Promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance, and actively support our compliance program-related initiatives and activities. Consistently enforce employee compliance, including attendance at training programs, and promptly report any non-compliance to the Chief Compliance Officer. Performs other related duties, as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for the role a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is required. Knowledge of applicable FDA regulations is preferred. Five years with progressively responsible hands-on experience in quality assurance inspection or related manufacturing environment is preferred. Two additional years as a Lead Person or Supervisor are necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills required to exchange information with diverse types of personnel, hire and develop employees, and address employee relations issues.
This position will be located in Elmira, NY and requires up to 10% travel including potential international travel. This position is for second shift.
