The Senior Marketing Manager for Clean & Clear GFO is a key strategic leadership role within the Global Franchise Organization (GFO). This position reports into the GFO Brand Director for Clean & Clear and will be based in Skillman, NJ until Q2 2015 at which point this will be based in New Brunswick, NJ
Clean & Clear is a $330MM NTS franchise operating in 45 countries around the world. The brand has a clear and distinct POV informed by its singular focus on the serving the facial skincare of teen girls entering the category for the first time. This role requires developing a deep sense of empathy for our consumer and thinking through how we can communicate with her in the most relevant way.
The Senior Marketing Manager will lead global innovation and IMC activities for Clean & Clear partnering with counterparts from NA, AP, and EMEA to build the Clean & Clear brand equity globally. In addition, this person will participate in the development of the brand strategic plan in line with the global strategy. Specifically, The Senior Manager will:
Own development of the 5 yr global brand innovation strategy and lead new product development projects, including writing & testing insights, ideas and concepts. Own development and stewardship of brand strategic plan and playbook (equity, visual identity, brand growth plan, innovation, measurement). Own development and stewardship of brand IMC leading cross agency team to develop global integrated connections plan, content guidelines and multi-media content development (with lead region or market); Develop brand creative idea, content guidelines and govern global content via lead market model; Assign lead region / market for concept / content development; Lead agency strategic partnership to guide IMC development / activation and provide global equity stewardship; Govern cross-agency team to ensure successful partnership across full creative eco-system toward business and brand building goals; Synthesize regional and local insights to develop global creative process for brand(s) within the need state in order to drive relevance. In partnership with Region GFO, create core Global Launch Kits and roll-up Global content needs for agency SOW.
He or she will develop transferable success models across countries, transferring learnings and best practices across regions & markets.
This person will be responsible for creating a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration and innovation with cross functional partners and marketing counterparts.
Qualifications
A BA degree is required. Master in business or marketing specialization preferred. A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer packaged goods organization, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required. Experience marketing in a digital world, (i.e., social media, e-commerce, analytics, on-line) is required. Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups is preferred. Demonstrated track record of people development and leadership is required. Experience leading in a matrix environment and cross functional teams is required. Experience in successful partnership with R&D organizations to develop innovative products supported by specific and relevant brand messaging is required. Proven success in developing strategic agency partnerships to build long term brand health and business is required. Demonstrated analytic skills and financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required. Experience in providing marketing thought leadership—taking consumer insight and using it to drive thinking and good decisions, is required. Demonstrated skill in executing and delivering brand leadership in a similar integrated brand leadership role is required. Ability to travel up to 20% internationally is required.
