Senior Finance Analyst - Asia Pacific Supply Chain Cost & Inventory Management
(Based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines)
Primarily responsible for the integrity and overall management of inventory costing, valuation, and co-management of Operations P&L for market assigned. Business partnering with Regional and Local Country stakeholders (Finance and Supply Chain) in business planning, timely and accurate submission of the Supply Chain Operations P&L (BVA), management reporting duties, financial compliance duties, review of related Balance Sheet Accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and attending to ADHOC queries, request and assigned projects. Manage, coach, and supervise a team of Finance Analysts to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Principal responsibilities will include:
- Management of the integrity and adequacy of cost information – review and approve the standard costs ensuring that cost information are complete and accurate and in accordance with prevailing accounting, compliance and management reporting standards.
- Period-end closing – Management of the timely closing of the books and ensure the integrity of monthly results; provide action-oriented commentaries and highlighting to management the material variances and responsible cost drivers.
- Business Planning and Plan Updates – Collaborate with regional, local supply chain and finance in the planning and development of the annual Business Planning guidelines and timelines. Development of product standard costs from the consolidation of cost assumptions and guidelines; analyze, consolidate and review the overall impact on the year on year standard COGS change; and, submission of hedging summary reports to APSC Treasury team. Responsible for providing financial support and analysis relating to the Supply Chain P&L.
- Compliance – review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Statements and perform control tests to ensure adequacy, suitability and compliance to SOX inventory control procedures relevant to costing and inventory management. Ensure processes are in accordance with WWP/ICH. Management of both internal and external audit requirements.
- Business Partnering Function – manage and delegate financial information requirements of Regional and Local Country Supply Chain and Finance teams (Commercial and Reporting & Planning) to immediate team for action to achieve common goals and objectives. Monitor timely submission of the team and reviews the accuracy of the requirements submitted.
- People Development and Coaching – lead and provide technical support, guidance and operational direction to direct reports; measure key result areas of direct reports; train and develop direct reports to maximize their potentials for growth.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance major in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- At least 4 years experience in financial accounting; experience in cost accounting preferred
- At least 1-2 years people-management experience
- Ability to read, understand, verbally exchange information and compose written material for business purposes in English
- Strong team working and relationship building skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Exhibits a high level of autonomy as demonstrated via independent decision-making, prioritizing own workload and project management skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in line with deadlines
- Experience in using SAP; proficiency in basic MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word) also required
- Willing to be assigned in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines
