We are recruiting a Clinical Specialist for the North London area.
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for executing specific customer development and training plans by providing full clinical support to all the accounts within their territories.
To maintain existing customer base and sales in strategic accounts within a given UK sales territory. To provide accurate information regarding all products and their indications (i.e. surgical techniques) for use to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff. To provide first class service and seamless supply to customers including training, stock checks, timely deliveries and supporting the theatre team to ensure the operation proceeds successfully. To assist in the promotion/correct usage of DePuy products through regular, organised customer education meetings and training sessions. Communicate any potential business opportunities to account manager. To improve logistics efficiency in the key account through optimised management of inventory.
Providing technical support during surgical procedures in the operating theatre environment
Undertaking regular training with theatre staff to ensure they are fully familiar with surgical
instrument sets
Ensure all implants are replenished into instrument sets following surgical cases
Management of consignment stock in designated key accounts
Provide technical support to Surgeon teams on the safe use of DePuy Synthes products
Assist in the sales process with Sales Consultant by providing service support for designated
target accounts
Provide service reports to key customers and sales management team for key accounts
Work with the planning teams to aid inventory and instrument forecasting
Conducts business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements
In-service clinical support training will be provided. Prospective candidates should be aware that this is a highly exciting field, which is also technically demanding and as such, training to full competency may take up to 12 months.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should ideally meet the following criteria:
- Preferably educated to degree level in a scientific discipline
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Have the capacity to gain in-depth product and procedure knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with every level of the hospital hierarchy.
- Must possess strong presentation skills with an excellent capacity to coach and train customers on the use DePuy Synthes products.
- A creative and innovative approach with good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a team environment, but also be extremely self-motivated when working alone.
- Computer software package skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Full & clean driving licence
