Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a National Sales Director for Canada.

Job Summary:

The primary objective of the National Sales Director is to lead the Canadian Sales Team to successfully meet or exceed established sales quotas and margins. This includes reviewing market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and work with marketing to develop sales campaigns to accommodate sales goals of company. The National Sales Director is instrumental in the development of the annual Business Plan and coaches the Sales Team in the development of individual territory sales plans, goals and objectives.

The expectation of the role is to be coach and mentor for the sales team, traveling consistently with each associate and driving sales results with all customers.

Key responsibilities:

The National Sales Director will be responsible for direct staffing, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations within the Sales Team including providing training to new representatives in the areas of sales skills, product demonstrations, and territory management.

Additional responsibilities include: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; analyzing sales to assist representatives in promoting sales within district; monitor and execute control of division expenses such as travel, entertainment, advertising and promotion; representing the company at trade association meetings to promote product; and working with other managers to ensure open communication and coordination of sales training efforts and company sales goals.

The National Sales Director leverages key relationships with internal and external Senior Leaders to achieve current and future strategic goals. The National Sales Director develops and executes strategies for advancing OCD’s trust and credibility with external stakeholders, and aligns long term partnerships with our key customers.

Additionally, the National Sales Director is an integral part of the Canadian Leadership Team, providing guidance and council for all aspects of the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics’ Canadian business. Active participation in Canadian Leadership Team meetings, annual Business Planning sessions, succession planning and performance calibration sessions are essential parts of this role.

Qualifications


To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

BA/BS in science or business preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of proven successful healthcare sales experience required, with completion of management development program.

Hospital medical device/diagnostic sales experience preferred.

3+ years of healthcare sales management experience preferred.

Bilingualism (French and English) is a preferred attribute.

A valid driver's license issued in one of the 10 provinces paired with a clean driving record is required.

Must be able to travel overnight as required or needed.

Ability to use a PC and associated software.

Demonstrated skills with communication, problem-solving, data analysis, time management, and presentations.
