APAC Transport Operations Manager

DESCRIPTION:
- Establish and maintain a best in class transport process that is aligned with APAC Quality, Security and Regulatory requirements.
- Recommend and implement processes to improve the track & trace and shipment monitoring cababilty within the APAC region.
- Recommend & roll out productivity metrics & dashboards across all countries within AP.
- Identify and Implement approved transport optimization opportunities based on cross-sector leveraging opportunites.
- Implement transport solutions for APAC Supply Chain initiatives such as Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs), new products, new lanes and temperature controlled transport and storage solutions.
- Assist in generating maximum transportation value through participation in supplier selection and Cost Improvement Programs (CIPs).
- Participate in quarterly business reviews for key transport suppliers and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Assist with the implementation of any new carrier in accordance with QA standards, Service Level Agreements, SOP’s and Terms and Conditions.
- Establish and maintain a transport business continuity plan.
- Reccomend and implement an approved4PL strategy.
STRATEGIC:
- Develop and deploy regional cross-sector Transport Operations strategies and communication plans aligned with overall Supply Chain regional strategies.
- Drive the Transport Operations process in accordance with Global standards.
LEADERSHIP:
- Recruit, develop and lead the Transport Operations team.
OTHER:
- Support implementation of Freight Audit strategy and solution across APAC.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization is critical for success.
- Multi-sector experience is preferred.
- Transport Operations experience
- Integrity & Credo-based actions
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the end to end supply chain
- Knowledge and experience in transportation related technology, security, compliance and import/export processes
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement approved strategies to drive value for J&J Asia Pacific businesses

Internal interactions may include commercial partners, regional/country sector based supply chain leaders, CLS Quality & Compliance, logistics partners, CLS employees, support functions (HR, IT, Finance), Planning, Distribution, Manufacturing and Worldwide Transportation.
External interactions may include customers, government agencies, industry partners, third-party distribution centers and suppliers, transportation providers and customer service center vendors.
LOCATION
This position is to be based in Singapore with no relocation support provided.
