Johnson & Johnson's Source Finance COE Organization is recruiting for a Sr Financial Analyst to drive business partner decision support across the direct material and external manufacturing purchasing across a portion of the MD&D portfolio. The role is based in Bridgewater NJ.
Position will report to the JJSC Source Finance COE – MD&D BU Finance Manager.
The J&J Supply Chain Source Finance COE is an organization with global impact, supporting Pharm, MD&D, and Consumer Third Party Manufacturing and Procurement organizations to deliver high quality, reliable and cost competitive products. While this role will primarily focus on supporting MD&D supply chain, it also provides an opportunity to lead global Source COE projects and to play a significant leading role in COE initiatives to drive standardization of activities/processes across MD&D, Pharm and Consumer... thus shaping the way we work for all sectors.
The Sr analyst will provide finance partner to Strategic Sourcing Directors for a component one of the MD&D Business Units (Global Surgery, Global Medical Solutions, or Global Orthopedics). Provide finance leadership on key procurement initiatives, including vetting and validation of cost improvement projects, contract negotiations, CAR validation and presentations, partnership/Leadership with Franchise/Business Unit in the development of Source business plans, updates and LRFP, proactive identification of vendor solvency issues and counseling/mitigation of issues as they arise, support for Buy scenarios within make vs. buy analyses, inflation mitigation analytics with Procurement, along with reporting themes and action planning, strategy development and validation and tactical issue resolution and provide feedback to Sr. Management on risk/opportunity.
The role will partner with Source COE finance business partners in supporting Source business partners in the delivery of their financial commitments, via ensuring that resources are deployed against the greatest value-creation initiatives, leveraging resources in forecast development, optimizing opportunities across BUs, employing fact-based decision making, etc. Role is a key participant in Source Finance COE process initiatives and critical to identifying, designing and implementing change in “The Way We Work”. Exposure to lead and influence enterprise as well as cross MD&D Franchise processes possible.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. A minimum of 2 years business experience is required. Experience in supply chain finance and or MD&D Finance is preferred. Professional certification (CMA/CPA) preferred. Experience with design excellence, Kaizen, or process excellence tools is a plus.
This role requires someone who is a positive change agent with the ability to frame and communicate issues and solutions to build consensus for implementing process improvements . Must possess strong partnering skills with colleagues both in and out of Source finance COE. Must assume full ownership and accountability for delivering results. Must possess the ability to identify, prioritize, execute work/project plans for self. Ability to work under time pressure while keeping a high level of quality and compliance is required as iare strong analytical/technical skills.
