JGS is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of departments/organizations/teams that provide leadership across business critical areas for Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson. The Senior Manager, Global Strategic Analytics is responsible for leading qualitative and quantitative primary market research and forecasting efforts for prostate cancer and genitourinary (GU) oncology projects in support of the Oncology Global Commercial Strategy Organization. Projects span internal development, licensing and acquisitions, and portfolio reviews. Candidate will inform commercial development strategies, licensing and acquisition decisions, through cross-functional involvement and as a member of the strategic marketing team. Position requires strong strategic thinking, an ability to develop innovative approaches for generating insights and valuing both drug and non-drug (e.g., integrative solutions) assets. Candidate must be able to clearly articulate key business questions, determine best methodology for meeting objectives and translate insights into actionable recommendations. An understanding of marketing, finance, and science is necessary. Key responsibilities include ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to determine appropriate market research and forecast model designs, formulate key assumptions and align with business partners. Candidate must be capable of designing and conducting market research projects and building sophisticated financial models to address multiple forecasting needs. Candidate must demonstrate leadership, interpret results, present relevant insights, manage complex projects, prioritize work, allocate resources and operate independently.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or marketing, is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years total business experience with 5 years of relevant experience in Market Research, Marketing, Business Analytics, and/or Finance required. Experience within the healthcare industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical devices & diagnostics), the areas of Sales Forecasting, Primary and Secondary Market Research is required. Experience in an analytical role, with forecasting models is required. Experience in the oncology therapeutic area is preferred. Strong project management skills (ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects) simultaneously are also required as is the ability to influence and impact others. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and forecasting systems is required. Experience with internal product development, licensing and acquisitions and pharmaceutical portfolio reviews is preferred. Primary location is Raritan, New Jersey, US and the ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time is required.
