The role of the Region Market Specialist is to expand the reimbursement and access status of our long acting therapies in determining the potential patient population that can be accessed and is consequently a core aspect of securing maximum return on investment and to ensure that products are afforded access and achieve a desired reimbursement status over its entire lifecycle, working with payers, generating demand/need established by providers/trade. This specialist will partner and support the Area Business Manager to assist in providing solutions on the key accounts top down and work with internal partners to overcome barriers to reimbursement, maximize reimbursement potential and effectively communicating our LAT portfolio’s value. This individual would help to define key Strategies and Tactics for our behavioral health portfolio at the account level with trade and advocacy partners to influence access as well. This role needs an individual who can demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate market trends in healthcare related to the impact on the customer landscape beyond just the CNS promoted therapeutic area. This position will be reporting to the Area Business Manager and will not have direct reports.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required and MBA preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Five or more years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industries, or large account development related experience is required. The individual must provide a documented track record of strong sales results. The ability to travel up to approximately 40% of the time is required. The applicant must have experience and a deep understanding of the reimbursement landscape for physician administered injectables and issues from buy and bill as well as pharmacy benefit knowledge in LAT. Demonstrated leadership through others to motivate and inspire others to execute on tactics and achieve goals. A strong capacity to achieve business results, while working independently and interdependently partnering, with both internal and external customers. Demonstrate an ability to deploy and leverage resources to impact results and marketplace knowledge working in a pharmacy benefit or potentially a buy-n-bill state market.
