Key Responsibilities
This entry level Packaging Engineer will help deliver new consumer products to market through innovation of new methodologies and/or technologies for package development. The candidate will be expected to deliver packaging systems in support of department goals while working independently with moderate supervision. These efforts may contribute to the creation of intellectual property. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and organize specific areas of projects, defining scope, range, and problem resolution methods and techniques.
The Packaging Engineer will participate in cross-functional project teams and may act as the leader of specific work streams. He or she will interact closely with the other cross-functional groups including other Global Engineering Associates, Research & Development, Marketing, Project Management, Design, Operations and Regulatory Affairs. This role will require creative problem solving abilities, sound technical background, and a passion for developing consumer products for global consumers. The position may support New Product Innovation/Development, Business Continuity Projects, and/or Cost Improvement Projects.

Qualifications
Successful entry level Packaging Engineers must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline. An M.S./M.A./MBA is preferred. They must also possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding) which is reflective of all college coursework. Candidate must have from 0 to 2 years of industrial experience. Candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States. We cannot consider students who will require future sponsorship. We are seeking candidates who will be available to start their Johnson & Johnson career after earning their most recent degree between June 2013 and June 2014.
