Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager, WW Service Analytics and Engineering in Rochester NY.
Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics is a leading provider of in vitro diagnostic products and services, offering accurate, timely, and cost-effective solutions for screening, diagnosing, monitoring and confirming diseases. The company serves the global clinical laboratory and transfusion medicine community, and is committed to providing customers with products, services and process solutions to make labs more efficient in delivering the quality test results doctors and patients need.
During 2013, the WWCTS group lost a staff consisting of 1 Manager and 8 FTE dedicated to engineering and documentation. To restore these displaced skills, we are proposing a more effective group of 3 FTE focused on service analytics and compliance documentation, leaving engineering functions to LCM and R&D. The manager for this group will have a team that is driven by data to be focused on driving improvement in the Customer Experience and Operational Efficiency of the CTS Organization. This team is also going to need to ensure that all Service Publications and documents are relevant an accurate so that all individuals who authorized to service equipment for OCD have the required information to perform their tasks. This individual will lead the CTS governance team and be a representative for CTS with the LCM, and with R&D to achieve and improve customer operations, compliance, and efficiency goals on a consistent World Wide basis, by helping to drive information that will help to improve products, processes to improve in areas of labor and materials costs to reduce per-call costs annually on a per instrument basis. This group leader will have global responsibility to drive to the publications group to deliver comprehensive service documentation enabling the group to improve efficiency and proficiency in both service provided either remote, telephone, or onsite while helping to reduce the costs of non-conformance and improve all areas of service. Understand better techniques and document to put into process so that these are followed to improve in areas that they apply and ensuring that they are compliant. Build competencies and organization structure between CTS, LCM, R&D and Supply and to represent the CTS Organization during meetings and discussions in regards to product Life Cycle, and to help meet goals of a to meet steady state operation.
The manager, WW Service Analytics and Engineering will be working with Field Service Directors to develop and implement strategic plans to assure departmental goals and objectives are aligned to CTS business plan and OCD strategic imperatives working with Field Service Directors. Directs project activities of the Service Analytics and Engineering Staff, functional and cross-functional area of influence. Responsible for all administrative requirements including compliance/documentation/record-keeping, budget management and personnel management. Leadership and personnel development of CTS future leaders is a key responsibility. Establish partnerships and be an active participant in meetings and will be responsible to bring financial and Analytical data along with capabilities with other OCD functional groups R&D, EM, OEMs, LCM, and Marketing at the Director and Manager level as well as partner with key functional areas within CTS. Work together with Field Service Directors, Technical Support Directors and Managers to ensure all Product strategies can be implemented successfully worldwide. Benchmark key metrics/dashboard data for key trends and assess opportunity for improvement. Tie departmental metrics to meaningful initiatives and customer experience and operational goals and use these metrics to measure group and individual performance. Challenge status quo to improve efficiency and productivity of the organization. Enhance customer Experience while creating opportunities to reduce service interruptions. Develops awareness of customer needs and drive organization and product development, accordingly though the use of the VOC (voice of the customer) tools and knowledge. Uses the results of customer surveys and site visits to establish action plans to resolve concerns. Prepare Service Business and Project Plans to integrate for the implementation of new product support functions. Manages and implements other projects as needed. Develop annual Business Plan for this department, based on CTS Objectives and Strategy. Monitors and manages monthly performance versus plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree is preferred and 10+ years’ experience in Business is preferred. MBA degree is preferred. A Six Sigma Green Belt background or strong Process Excellence project experience required. A proven track record at communicating at multiple levels of OCD and across multiple functions required. A minimum of 10+ years of project management and facilitation experience preferred. Excellent communications skills required. This individual must be well organized with a high degree of initiative and autonomy. Must be customer service focused with a bias for action and delivery of results. Must be comfortable and embrace diversity with experience working internationally. Must be willing to travel 20% internationally and domestically.
This position will be based in Rochester, NY and may require up to 20% of travel domestically and internationally.
