An opportunity has arisen for an Sales Consultant in a high value, high opportunity territory covering the West Wales area.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining current market share
Identify and seize new business opportunities for growth
Utilising relationships with current and future customers to maintain and accelerate Depuy Synthes as the supplier of choice
Manage contracts by shaping and influencing tenders and negotiating with various levels of decision makers
Develop and maintain a high level of technical competence across the complete spine portfolio
Undertaking regular training with theatre staff to ensure they are fully familiar with surgical instrument sets
Providing technical assistance where required to theatre staff and surgeons
Monthly reporting, sales analysis and forecasting in line with sales management process
Effective management of consignment stock in line with investment in designated key accounts
Conducts business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements
Qualifications
Experience:
Medical Devices sales experience, ideally orthopaedic
Preferably educated to degree level in a scientific discipline
Experience of working in a clinical environment
Have the capacity to gain in-depth product and procedure knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with every level of the hospital hierarchy
Must possess strong presentation skills with an excellent capacity to coach and train customers on the use DePuy Synthes products
A creative and innovative approach with good analytical and problem solving skills
Must be comfortable working in a team environment, but also be extremely self-motivated when working alone
Computer software package skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Full & clean driving licence
