The Manager, Supply Network Planning provides leadership and direction for all supply network planning activities across DePuy sites. The SNP Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing the Supply Network Planning strategy for the SNP Organization within the business. The SNP Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the SNP strategy and standardizing processes, practices and procedures. Recruit and manage a global team of Supply Network Planners to deliver customer service excellence and inventory optimization from Primary to Market Hubs, fully utilizing the APO system. Be an inspiring leader with a passion for developing individuals to their full potential. Report directly to the Plan Director, with dotted line responsibility to PP&L management and collaboration with the PP&L Materials Managers. Build the global picture on the supply network, including supply constraints management and proposing potential scenarios. Interact with Plan Portfolio Managers in the forecast hand-off process to deliver net requirement to supply. Coordinate Supply Commit process between Plan Portfolio Managers and Manufacturing Plants. Sit in the world between Commercial (Port Managers) and Manufacturing (Mat Managers) understanding the global requirements and the plants capabilities, creating scenarios as inputs into the S&OP process. Including supply commits. Assist with the BP process as required (net requirements definition for the plants). Facilitate plan requirements resulting on change in manufacturing locations. Contribute to troubleshooting hub to hub opportunities and propose long term improvements to increase customer service within the distribution network.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work closely with the PP&L and Plan organizations, design the final state for SNP alignment. Facilitate final alignment and end-to-end supply chain communication. Set the strategy of how the team will interact with PP&L and Plan stakeholders. Ensure processes and procedures utilize full functionality of the APO system. Have a deep understanding of the commercial dynamics and supply issues while keeping connected to supply points and Demand Planning. Develop and implement processes, guidelines and procedures to effectively work with other PP&L and Plan teams. Participate in Global S&OP meetings to representing Supply Network Planning. Develop a timely communication plan for all stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment. Identify and influence stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment. As nodes are added, ensure that they are resourced appropriately. Analyze business results and initiates appropriate action to meet business goals. Improve profitability through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvements on a cross functional basis. Position inventory in accordance with the agreed Deployment Plans as outlined by the PLAN Portfolio Managers. Lead and support the team through complex, ambiguous and uncertain situations. Promote a culture of generating innovative ideas, processes and solutions. Develop team members to their full potential.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent is required. MBA preferred. A minimum of 8 years of related Planning experience (Demand, Production, Supply Planning) is required. Experience working in healthcare or regulated industry is required. ERP systems experience is required. Must have people management experience, preferably managing a virtual team. Green belt six-sigma certification and APICS Certification is preferred. Advanced Planning Systems experience (APS/APO) is preferred. Must have the capability to develop and lead high-performing teams. The ability to work with limited supervision, lead a virtual team, and persuade and influence others is required. Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills, accuracy with attention to detail, strong collaboration and teaming, have a global mindset, work in fast-paced environment, and be flexible and prioritize. MRP & systems readiness is essential. Excellent communication skills across functions/levels is required. Must be analytical and understand KPIs/ metrics. Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
