In a key growth period this full-time opportunity has become available for a passionate and results oriented Territory Manager who can build leading business partnerships with customers.

Johnson & Johnson Pacific, our consumer products division, is home to dozens of health and wellness brands that have been loved and trusted by New Zealanders for generations. Our broad range of household brands is present in consumers’ daily lives as they use and shop for baby care, adult skin care, oral care, wound care, over-the-counter medicines and women’s health care products.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, your key focus will be to grow the business and drive sales with your expert territory management, servicing the needs of your customers and keeping a head of the competition. Key aspects of the role are:
• Manage a Wellington sales territory with existing clients in Foodstuffs and Countdown
• Responsibilities for in-store category management and stock management
• Implement sales and marketing strategies within the key banner stores to achieve sales targets
• Have responsibility for Merchandisers and provide them with direction and management
• Use your superior negotiation skills with Buyers and Managers to influence outcomes and meet objectives
• Take responsibility for all new product launches, optimise shelf space and maximising product exposure.
• Be able to use sales analysis to develop strategies and have influential conversations with Store Managers , Owners and Buyers
• Manage part-time hours (19 hours per week)

• Self-driven, able to work autonomously but also work for the overall success of the Sales team
• Have a proven track record in achieving results through effective territory management.
• Be able to work in a partnership with Managers and Buyers in Supermarkets to drive mutually beneficial growth.
• Have a minimum of 2 years industry experience within FMCG. Experience working with Foodstuffs stores a particular requirement.
• Have an awareness of category and shopper fundamentals
• Can read data in excel and have confidence in using financial tools
• Excellent negotiation skills.
