The Senior Manager, Innovation & Pipeline – Beauty, provides essential support to the Director in driving the part of the global Vision Care innovation and pipeline agenda focused on the Beauty platform. The role includes assisting with developing, aligning and adjusting the global platform strategy and progress through new product development stages, as well as facilitating partnering with R&D and other relevant functions to enrich and strengthen the overall innovation agenda throughout the strategic plan horizon. The Senior Manager partners with the Director who owns the pipeline vision, new products development, claims, product readiness and operational readiness launch strategy for this platform, and leads the development and adjustments to strategic plan priorities & pipeline.
Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. Engages in Credo-based decision-making.
The Senior Manager, Innovation & Pipeline – Beauty will; Contribute to a substantial degree to the development of a rolling 7-year plan for the Beauty platform, including market assessments and defining new business and product opportunities; Proactively identify of new areas of innovation to drive growth -- includes new products, as well as claims and benefit messaging, business model, packaging, etc.; Partner with functional leaders to contribute to the pipeline and portfolio strategy including new product index, new products development, claims/messaging delivery, product and operational readiness stages of launch strategy for the Beauty platform; Collaborate with the Director to develop innovation roadmap & pipeline for the Beauty platform; Provide substantial input to the development of concepts for new product positioning and strategic pricing, positioning, including global floor price; Assist with development of guidelines for demand forecasts and assumptions to drive regional business cases; Work in partnership with cross-functional team to drive new products through the GNPP stage gate process; Participate in development of launch strategy in collaboration with Global Brand Lead/Team and Regions; Partner with the Director to ensure delivery of key assets and claims to support launch (product readiness) to Global Brand Lead/Team; Support post-launch results tracking and continuous improvement; Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred. A qualified candidate will possess a minimum of Five (5) years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent if required with a minimum of five (5) years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience and/or with medical device experience preferred. Global brand management experience preferred with a demonstrated record of marketing leadership including integrated communications/advertising delivery, new product launches, business plan development, and/or classical marketing training. Prior experience working with market research, advertising agencies and agency management is strongly preferred. Prior experience in Beauty industry a plus. A demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making is required as well as a demonstrated track record in identifying winning consumer insights, growth opportunities, and priorities. Prior experience in healthcare professional marketing a plus. Prior commercial line management experience with coaching and mentoring skills to develop team members is strongly preferred. Prior experience working with Legal, Regulatory and Global partners is preferred. Under general or minimum supervision, performs duties in terms of stated objectives. Generally works out details within broad guidelines and exercises considerable initiative and judgment.

This position is located in Jacksonville, FL and requires 25% domestic & international travel.
