LifeScan is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with diabetes by developing, manufacturing and marketing a wide range of glucose monitoring systems and software for use by people with diabetes and by health care providers. The ONETOUCH® Brand of consumer and institutional products includes portable electronic meters and disposable reagent test strips to provide accurate, less painful glucose readings and the software tools to transform this information into actionable health care decisions.
Our business model is built around prescribed and reimbursed blood glucose meters requiring a marketing approach involving both Health Care Professionals and Trade.
In the last 10 years, we have managed to increase our market share and keep a very strong position in a highly competitive landscape with private label competition and multinational brands.
Executive summary of the role.
Develop a regional strategic plan for LifeScan within the Belgian hospital segment in view of the environment evolving into a tender market. Ensure execution on and deployment of the strategic plan in a market moving towards a full tender market in order to reach NTS, Share and ASP on or above BP target. Take full ownership and accountability on big strategic key accounts to ensure share growth.
Main areas of responsibility / expected results/objectives of the role
1. Hospital Key Account Management
- Tender management: ensure identification of the right target customers and flawless execution during the pre-tender, tender and post tender faze.
- Price/Volume Management in non-tender hospitals: Developing a pricing strategy that ensures MA and reach BP MS-targets, in line with EMEA pricing strategy.
- Design and execute the sales force allocation plan and sales plan for the sales area
- Development and follow up of KPI-dashboards
2. Supervision of the supporting sales rep(s): regular field visits and coaching sessions. Full coverage off all stakeholders in a few major key accounts, including Diabetes Specialized Nurses and Endocrinologists.
3. Member of Belux Management team
- Active role in management meeting, sales meeting
- Gathering and updating of key data to supply input for Business Planning and Operating Reviews
- Monthly reporting
Qualifications
- Master degree or equivalent through experience
- Language skills: Dutch, English, French
- Experience in Key Account Management and business processes
- Experience in the Health Care sector is a plus
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong communication skills
