Country Recruiter - Japan

The Country Recruiter will be responsible for managing the end to end recruiting process with focus on complete stakeholder management and partnership for key J&J client groups spanning all operating companies and regional groups based in Japan. This position will report to the Talent Acquisition Head in Japan.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead the complete end to end recruitment process as prescribed in the TA model with Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, Business Based HR partners and other J&J Specialist Groups when necessary.
- Connect with relevant and key stakeholders early for conversations regarding staffing plans and identification of key talent gaps and needs.
- Shape the stakeholders to agree on best sourcing, interviewing and recruiting strategies and ensure implementation of the agreed action plans.
- Lead in executing best practices in TA aligned with the TA global process to meet or exceed TA metrics and Service Level Agreements with the stakeholders. Share knowledge of business, candidate marketplace and recruitment trends.
- Deliver recruitment process efficiency focused on high-touch stakeholder engagement and best in class candidate experience.
- Build direct sourcing capability and methodology, including using technology based professional and social networking sourcing channels.
- Deliver complete data integrity in the Recruitment Technology (RT).
- Lead vendor engagement and shape vendor behavior to ensure high standard of service delivery.
- Shape outcome from participation in local, regional or global TA projects.

Qualifications


Required

-
A minimum of a Bachelors degree

-
A minimum of 10 years working experience in HR with at least 5 years experience in talent acquisition in a multinational organization

-
Must have a demonstrated capability and experience in recruiting and sourcing for mid-career, ideally in the health care industry in Japan

Must exhibit skill and expertise and skill in tapping traditional and technology based sourcing channels and possess a strong network in the targeted functional area

Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills; must have proven experience and ability to have discussions and influence executive and senior management level stakeholders; must demonstrate business thinking and acumen

Must have a demonstrated ability to apply judgment to ambiguous or out-of-policy situations; attention to detail and the ability to deal appropriately with confidential information; can work independently

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required, as is the ability to develop relationships and influence others

Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR recruiting processes and practices (i.e., compensation, employment laws, interviewing skills, sourcing strategies, etc)

Proven collaboration and teaming skills

Strong customer and marketplace focus

Speak, read and write in English at business level and fluent in Japanese

Desirable

MBA graduate

Experience with Taleo or other similar recruitment tracking and database system

Experience with behavioral interviewing and talent assessment
