The Johnson & Johnson Quality Systems (JJQS) Training Manager is responsible and accountable for managing and overseeing JJQS Training standards, global procedures and harmonized training management processes using applicable Learning Management Systems (LMS). Promotes alignment between local and global processes. Ensures appropriate risk management strategies are integral to lean processes. Ensures appropriate metrics are defined and measured to enable monitoring and continuous improvement. Works with other globally dispersed training organizations/process owners to deploy global training to J&J personnel. Monitors key performance indicators of the training management process and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Participates directly or indirectly on project teams to develop, consolidate, and/or improve JJQS processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the Training Project Lead for global JJQS, sector, or regional based training projects
- Ensures that courses are delivered to the identified audience, in the agreed upon format and timeline.
- Ensures the development and implementation of assigned training projects that support JJQS objectives per the agreed upon functional training plan.
- Processes training requests that come into team as appropriate
- Develops and documents target audience for training project
- Conducts training needs analysis as appropriate to determine knowledge and skills gaps and make recommendations for training interventions
- Delivers instructor-led training, as required
- Provides instructional design/development for instructor led and eLearning training programs, as needed.
- Ensures training programs are evaluated as appropriate. Evaluates course feedback and makes recommendations for changes to materials/process and communicates back to business as needed
- Creates, manages, and assigns JJQS and other J&J training curricula. Maintains/retires courses/curricula as needed.
- Contributes to the development of departmental processes
- Assists business partners with inspections/internal audits, as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Arts (BA) degree or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of 10 years-experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Diagnostic, Consumer or other highly regulated industry.
- Written and spoken proficiency of the English language is required
- Able to apply knowledge and application of adult learning theory and sound instructional design principles is required.
- Able to design, develop and deliver training sessions for maximum impact and retention
- Experience working in a medium to large scale matrix organization is required.
- Good knowledge of worldwide GxP compliance regulations is required. (Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Clinical Practice, Good Laboratory Practice or Good Pharmacovigilance Practice)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required
Related Experience
- Exceptional writen and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with learning evaluation strategies, how to measure training effectiveness, and how to apply them to an education program
- Able to apply knowledge of performance support methodologies and practices.
- Ability to manage projects
- Previous experience with Learning Management Systems is helpful.
- Ability to interpret data to develop action plans to improve business.
- Strong personal leadership with demonstrated competency intervacing with all leavels of the organization including senior leaders
