Noramco, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Environmental, Health, & Safety (EH&S) Co-op to be located in Wilmington, Delaware.
Noramco, Inc. produces a variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients and is a major worldwide producer of medicinal analgesics, pharmaceutical intermediates and synthetic fine organic chemicals.
The EH&S Co-op may: Collect and analyze data, update procedures or other documents, support projects and regulatory requirements. Work with EH&S staff to maintain facility compliance with EH&S regulations e.g. EPA Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, OSHA requirements. Support process improvements, new product introductions, and associated EH&S activity. Learn about the EH&S regulatory requirements associated with the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Learn about chemical batch processing, the associated process equipment, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a highly regulated environment.
This work site is easily accessed by train or from I-95/495.
Qualifications
Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) at an accredited college/university and pursuing at least a Bachelors Degree is required. Actively pursuing an academic major in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, BioEngineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Civil Engineering is required. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Fall/Winter (September 2014 - March 2015) Co-op is required. Completion of at least freshman year of undergraduate studies is required. A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are preferred. Experience with spreadsheets is preferred.
This Co-op position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
